Poor Work Environment

Pros

Excellent benefits for employees and dependents. Flexible schedule for some employees.

Cons

Disrespectful environment allowed by upper management. Verbally abusive (publicly) persons with VP titles allowed to behave poorly with no repercussions. Poor communication, general disrespect between departments. Bonus program is completely subjective to the President, despite a program laid out to achieve, awards are made at the discretion of President and based more on their feeling towards the employee than any performance.

Pros

Nice wines, great winemaker, pretty winery. Plenty of money wasted on upper level expenses. Very little distributor contact from sales manager until its time to buy shipments to hit his bonus.

Cons

Upper management lining their own pockets hiring family members and only paying bonus to the boys club.

Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Excellent health insurance and other benefits.

Cons

The pay is average at best and the vacation time is laughable. This is where people's careers come to die. Management is all about themselves and the everyday employee doesn't matter (but hooray free lunches, right?). Managers throw their employees under the bus instead of taking ownership of their decisions.
