Used to be a great company, now losing its way

Pros

The company started with a genuinely strong and original idea, and for a long time the execution was impressive. The technology was ahead of its time and there are still many smart, capable, and dedicated people working there. At its best, it felt like the company was building something meaningful and differentiated.

Cons

The biggest problem is the inability to create anything truly new. Staying in the same space could have been fine if the company kept improving the product and leading the category, but instead it feels like neither is happening. Core issues are not really being fixed, and recent “innovation” often feels more like chasing buzzwords than building something customers truly need. The company also seems to struggle to sell effectively, and the result has been repeated layoffs and constant instability.

Pros

Product fit for many large org's

Cons

Leadership does not trust sales rep's, many employees monitoring tools in place. All discovery calls and demo's recorded in Gong, then analyzed and heavily criticized in follow up emails by leadership. Rep's required to conduct their own demo's, no SC support. Customers are not renewing and many ongoing implementations have issues supporting go-live. Reps are losing to prospects current tech stack vs. adding a new vendor. Just this month laid off 20% of workforce, completely unannounced. Very low moral. Lastly, if you are considering a position with Gloat, should they ever be able to hire again, be diligent and reach out to current and past sales to get an honest opinion of a day in the life here. Any/all positive reviews are posted by current leadership to pad the reviews.

Pros

Care about it's people. good pay. Good WLB and clear transparency from management about the company goals. Also using latest tech in the areas I was working on.

Cons

Main products didn't land so well, a lot of it because of the AI revolution. lot's of pivots adne experiments that can be exahusting sometimes, but that's also part of the era we're at right now.
