Pros

Many experience vacuums and opportunities for promotions Co-workers are very hard working and talented. We all worked very well together. Work life balance was pretty decent ( but not for all )

Cons

Sheesh.. What a decline. This company was doing great, up until certain managers were put in place, who are simply rude, arrogant and toxic. Specifically and most recently, engineering and service delivery. These individuals are the most rude, arrogant, self-serving and political individuals I’ve ever encountered. Senior management just lets them bully their way into these positions while not being able to perform. Senior management is essentially on autopilot while they ruin and destroy morale. There are people put in positions who simply piggy back off of others ideas/work. When it goes right, they’re taking the credit! When it goes wrong.. well, let’s just say it wasn’t necessarily a ‘team effort’. The solutions are quite.. archaic. All this company knows how to do and is comfortable with doing is on-premise. Not picking what’s best for the customer, or what makes sense in regards to the scenario; Simply what the “talent” is capable of supporting due to low wage of employees. For example, 30 site to site VPNs with broken replication across 5-6 domain controllers, file servers or hosts. Management doesn’t care at all. They just care about politicking and gaining more money/promotions. They do not show any proof of the company improving. They will lie, and say it is, and create problems, then fix them, just to say it’s “getting better,” while leaving the real issues to pile up. It’s the wild, wild west at this place. If you’re entry level, stick around for a year, and get out if you know what’s good for you.

Pros

- Not many, thinking back the things I would consider ‘pros’ are just things a normal company should offer their hard working employees. - Can basically do what you’d like, because of the lack of accountability from management.

Cons

- Weak management, and I mean WEAK management. No accountability from the top all the way to the bottom. I was doing 5x the amount of work the dude at the desk behind me was doing (in the same role, backed up by statistics on the ticket board they have on the TV in the office) and when I brought it up to management was told “yeah..we are busy, sorry” - Type of job where if you are self motivated and a hard worker, you will get taken advantage of. The work will not be spread out evenly. If you do more work, you will be given more work from someone that is not doing nearly as much as everybody else. Completely inefficient, demoralizing and strips any motivation you have to help customers or the company in general. - ridiculous micromanaging. On my last day, the made a rule that you needed to take a selfie in front of the building when you clocked in. What the hell? Get your employees to do their work.

Pros

My experience with Global Tech Solutions was generally positive. Within my two-year tenure, I learned a lot as an information and Training specialist both technically and in process improvement. Although my position was unexpectedly eliminated due to company restructuring, I did get the opportunity to grow technically and mentor many junior technicians. I will truly miss Devon and Mike, who I considered the best, most fair, and just managers at the company. I will also miss many of the technicians on Green, Blue, and Orange Teams.

Cons

Rather than just terminate proven employees, I would advise to keep long term employees happy by giving raises and offering them other means of employment within the company. Truly hard working, decent, and conscientious employees are hard to find; they should never be taken for granted.
