Constant state of chaos

Pros

Amazing coworkers. Great quality people who are open to help and share their knowledge. The only reason why I'm giving this company any stars at all.

Cons

High turnover, no work life balance. Management has no idea of how to set realistic expectations with clients. Unrealistic deadlines, razor thin budgets, weak executions and they have no idea of why things fail. Projects are disorganized, deadlines rarely ever make sense and the people involved in decision making are constantly flying by the seat of their pants. The senior leadership is disconnected with the reality of executional work and most people have no actual expertise in the work they do. There's a constant failure in understanding the need for hard skills, and how to hire people with actual experience in doing the work. They have great intentions that rarely translate into anything meaningful.

Pros

- It is very informal and relaxed - some good people - pretty good benefits

Cons

- The heads of the company literally dont know how to do the work that they sell so it’s really chaotic - seems like management talk a lot about social justice but treat the staff like crap and it’s very top down - can’t grow or learn because the leaders don’t know what they are doing - favoritism and management just hiring friends with no qualifications - very low pay - a technology agency run by someone who doesn’t understand technology

Pros

- great colleagues, everyone at the junior/intermediate level is hardworking, compassionate and passionate about the work - enjoyed working with the nonprofits

Cons

- very disorganized, in the time I was there the staff turnover was incredibly high. During a couple month period someone was quitting or being let go almost every week. Lead to a very low staff morale. - unrealistic deadlines and turnaround times - management was not supportive of the team, they were more on the client’s side than their own team’s side (ie. would expect staff to produce work with unreasonable expectations to please the client) - work/life balance doesn’t exist during the year-end period (Sept-Dec) - members of management also often didn’t show up to diversity sessions, also lead to a low staff morale
