Pros

Smart people, fast moving, very unique in the industry

Cons

I cannot emphasize the lack of diversity enough. There is not a single brown or black person within middle management, execs or the board, not one. With 300+ employees there are maybe 10 black/brown employees. There are "inclusive interview" tips that don't amount to anything PR.

Pros

The benefits package is great, and some (I repeat SOME) of the people who work there are really incredible.

Cons

Absolutely toxic management. Empty promises on promotions. The CEO could absolutely care less about the employees he has working at this company in addition to what happens to them. He is so far removed from Guideline and it is so blatantly obvious. They just went through their second round of layoffs for the company after quoting to the entire company there would be "no more layoffs" and now on LinkedIn they are hiring again for those same positions from the mass of layoffs? Ridiculous. The main issue is with management though. I went to HR several times about my manager and I not getting along and seeing eye to eye on my career goals and I never felt listened to. If you want to work for a company simply for the paycheck and just keep your head down and fly under the radar, this is the company for you. Going above and beyond gets zero recognition and the management in certain departments is beyond toxic. Some of the managers truly DO NOT deserve to be leading teams of people. They are uncaring, unfeeling, and Guideline does not take mental health problems seriously. I've never felt so low at a company as I did when I worked here.

Pros

- Great teammates - Great product - Great onboarding when you're first hired - Decent benefits

Cons

- pay is crazy low. AEs only get paid commission on a miniscule % of a PORTION of the deals they close, not even a % of the full ACV which is ridiculous. - CRO is out of touch with the organization. He gives nonsensical speeches which make us feel more confused and not motivated at all. - 99% of the sales team is white. There's a huge lack of diversity which is alarming. - The company has disingenuous practices. One example is deliberately hiding the phone number for customer support which forces customers to email instead. Guideline then outsources the email responses to (I'm assuming grossly underpaid) agents in the Philippines. The sales team then has to go and lie to customers and day that we have excellent customer support because the senior leadership wants that to be one of our selling points. - Layoffs. - Everyone is overworked. It's difficult to truly have a day off and are often working past 5 pm to get everything done. - Toxic culture with certain individuals who boast about working until midnight and get praised by senior leadership for it. Like ??? We do not get paid enough to be working that late, I don't know why you're proud of it. - And of course, quota. Hardly anyone is hitting quota because you guessed it! Senior leadership raised quota even though our inbound leads are decreasing significantly.
