Pros

None of any kind. I expect the positive reviews to be company-sponsored if you get my drift

Cons

This is a call center job, no matter what they say or what position you are in. This job will require you to know your own job, and just enough of all the other job categories to not mess everything up. I started in one role and by the end of my stay I had 6 additional job duties with 0 increase in compensation, in addition to only 1-1.5% raises despite high review scores. While you are with HA you will find yourself in times of little work, unblanaced with months of intense, stressful work that will leave you emotionally and mentally exhausted. Because this is a call center, you are expected to only take short breaks, and even if you are remote you will be questioned if you had to take a bathroom break. Everything is based on your basic Quality Assurance score and nothing more. You are a body behind a keyboard and headset to pick up. During the busy times they have mandatory overtime, they do not state that it is mandatory of course, to work around this they put "optional" overtime as a direct part of your teamwork score and you will be written up if you do not participate. Additionally, the incentives to work on weekends are silly raffles or a bought lunch. Don't expect room for growth, do not expect equity.

Hello, thank you for providing this feedback to us. I am sorry you feel that there were no pros of working here for 9 years. For years we have received great feedback from employees internally and also externally, such as Glassdoor. Additionally, we have won awards for best in business, customer service, and Great Place to Work (we were certified in 2022 as well). I want to learn more about your experience with us, please email me directly at hmintzer@healthadvocate.com Thank you, Howard Mintzer, Director HR Business Partnership

Pros

Fully remote permanently due to covid Decent PTO/sick time and Supervisor are very flexible when you need off (although you get no sick/pto pay out when you leave) Full Benefits

Cons

What ever role you think you're being hired for is not the only role you'll do. This is a call center and you will be asked to pick up the phone for any que that needs help (especially during Open Enrollment). As a "Wellness Coach" I take benefit calls, start claims cases, take any incoming calls through the triage line. And you will not be fully trained before receiving these calls. As a Wellness coach with no benefit training or background I feel really bad for the customers calling in. I've been asked to review people's benefit offerings for the next year and helping people decide which plan to choose. I am in no way qualified to do this and have to fly off the seat of my pants reading documents I've never seen before to answer callers questions. On another note, this is a call center and every minute of your day is accounted for. 20 mins maximum for any type of "break" you might need during the day (plus a strict 30 min lunch break). That's to refill your water, use the bathroom, or grab a snack. It's very regimented and it will come up in yearly review. As far as I can tell there are no significant raises here, last raise was 35 cents.

Pros

Pleasant coworkers Diverse hiring Accessible location Decent facilities

Cons

The workload was in constant disarray. As soon as I finished training, I inherited dozens of incomplete and neglected cases from previous employees. The cases were not staggered, either; they came in a great deluge, which in turn resulted in little progress being made in any of them. The major volume of outstanding inherited cases led to constant questions about working overtime. Overtime was the only way to make any semblance of meaningful progress working the cases, which naturally disrupts the idea of work-life balance. There was little support from my supervisor. Questions often went overlooked altogether and the answers that were provided were often slow to arrive. Complicating matters was that every so often, I would receive conflicting or contradictory information from two or more experienced employees/supervisors. During open enrollment in the fall, I was pulled off my usual work and forced to serve as a benefits representative, despite having no real understanding of the benefits system in place. During these weeks, I could not dedicate time to my claims work - the tasks relevant to my actual position. Naturally, this further delayed any progress in working the outstanding cases, which created further problems.

Hello – thank you for sharing this valuable feedback with us. I appreciate the level of detail you provided. I would agree that our employees are pleasant (and awesome), I am glad you had positive experiences with your coworkers and our location. I wish your experience with your workload was better. As you know, we provide a service to many clients and members – they are a top priority. This can make things a bit stressful during our busy season and teamwork is key to success (which our team does well). Thanks again Howie Mintzer HR Business Partner
