Pros

A few nice employees that hated it as much as I did to bond with, now they are out of the company too and my mentor and friends for life. Discussing how we survived and how much of a joke the company was is really the best therapy for getting over this weird place.

Cons

- I would rate this company a 0 if it was possible. - I was having panic attacks daily because I'd feel like I was on big brother and judged constantly when I entered the office. - They loved to act like ideas were being considered and everything was moving forward but nothing ever was/is. - Too many embarrassing client calls with Fortune 500 customers that have slated the HF service and said they would never work with us again. HF would then offer no apology or response back, but instead, the sales team would then try to sell to them another service at reduced cost instead of listening to the awful experience the clients had. - Managers were promoted based on friends rather than skill and knowledge, some managers shouldn't even be allowed to own a burger van, let alone be in charge of a team. - You work 3 different jobs while employed here for one salary (pay is abysmal) and are never appreciated and treated like you are very replaceable. - People that have survived at this company for so long have either managed to be promoted due to friendships/age or are blind (or ignore) the hypocrisy that takes place here. - All teams are made to feel like all the other teams are the enemy based on the fact you are doing jobs that should be managed by different teams. - Speaking to people in other teams always feels fake and robotic and it is clear everyone is ignoring the fact that everyone actually hates each other. (except for the few people that you know hate being there as much as you.) - If you show interest in another department instead of assistance or advice you are made to feel like you are competition to them. - I was a secret hire that went against another teams wishes so I was bound to be hated without even knowing about the pretences of my hire. - Diversity at this company is not a thing. They sell programs and training about diversity and inclusion while having 0 black people working for them, and one POC across their 4 offices. There is also no POC in any management positions. (loved the BLM post btw, bet you are happy no one called you out for it.) - They act like they are very forward-thinking and innovative, however, it is actually the opposite. They are so behind as a service and constantly moving backwards. - You would bring up ideas for changes to then be shut down by your managers just so they could show their authority over you, to other managers even if your idea is actually good. - Only time change would happen in services was when it was needed for a client to buy the service, so they would be rushed by the poor developers. - I could go on forever, every day I spent at the company was hell on earth. - Every day is better now that I don't work here, I am telling you nothing I have stated above is false (even though it seems too fake to be true), if I can save anyone else from ever getting a job here I'd consider that a win. - I don't think this company can't be saved unless the whole management team was changed out.

Pros

Colleagues within your immediate team are great.

Cons

You would think a training provider would spend time training their staff on systems and procedures but at Hemsley Fraser it's the opposite. You will be shown the bare minimum and then left to figure everything else out on your own. The IT systems aren't the best either which doesn't help at all. There's a huge disconnect between people above the client service manager level and the rest of the staff. It's very clear that they don't care about the staff or value them, instead they just see you as a number and easily replaceable - this goes for everything down from a client service manager. Understaffed across the business and will expect you to pick up the additional work load with no reward or recognition. If their clients knew half of the stuff that Hemsley Fraser put staff through they wouldn't have any clients left. If you raise your concerns about the lack of staff within your team they will promise you help and support but sadly won't deliver on either and they will just fob you off for as long as possible until things become so bad you're either signed off with stress or the client makes a complaint about work building up. Promotions from within are given to those who are in the right clique rather than those who actually deserve it.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and I am sorry to hear that your experience has not always been a positive one. We have a number of initiatives this year that we hope will address some of your concerns, including operating practices and development for all staff. We are also launching a Mental Health First Aider Community this month following recent certification, but if there is more you think we can do please let us know. If you are willing, it would be great if you could reach out to the People team and help us determine where to focus our energy and attentions next as we prioritise the various initiatives.
