Pros

Can’t think of any Pro’s

Cons

The health coverage sucks as a hospital employee, hardly covers anything for a HMO. Management also doesn’t intervene with upset patients.

Pros

Beautiful building and location, covered parking, lots of hard working and good people

Cons

New management was brought into the corporate office in the past couple years and ever since, there has been a tremendous amount of employee turnover and a prevailing culture of fear. The organization itself is operating in a multimillion dollar deficit, so they are using that as an excuse to "eliminate positions." Yet then management continues to receive raises and bonuses as loyal employees are let go. It's a very hard pill to swallow as you walk through the employee parking garage past luxury car after luxury car. Coming here every day is like torture, because you never know if today is the day you'll lose your job. Management is firing people who work hard and have the most knowledge about the company and the systems. Management acts transparent, but are dishonest with answers. Very hostile, passive aggressive environment. There is little to no communication, and the right hand has no idea what the left is doing.

Pros

Good pay. Nice facility. Free parking. Payroll deduction for cafeteria, spa, gift shop, etc. Tuition reimbursement. Patient population is well-educated.

Cons

Unethical handling of HR issues. No safe reporting outlet for nurses. Management retailiates and harasses. Employees are afraid of the nurse manager. Incivility & vertical violence is commonplace. Chain of command is a dead end. Good ole boy network. HH does not honor the employee. They do not embody the culture, values, forces of magnetism or policies they state they do. Contrary to their magnet status, they do not value nurses.
