Pros

If your strength is in sucking up the management, then this place is for you. One can literally does nothing so long he is in the good books of the management in power

Cons

Too many! 1) The 6 core values that the senior management preach, in fact are guilty displaying the exact opposite! How contemptuous! 2) Instead of looking for new business streams and opportunities, the senior management are fighting against each other since the longest time. Hence the business is always declining and reserves is eating away surely. 3) The HR is probably the worst I have ever seen - unscrupulous and devious are just an understatement 4) The attrition rate is up the roof every year, and you will be considered a veteran if you somehow survived for 3 years. 5) The company is removing all the business leaders and now are run by accountants and consultants who know nothing about the business. 6) The most important event of the company is to putting up performances during the Diamond Day or D&D to please the chairman and the senior management. Nobody cares about revenue or P&L.

Pros

Interesting gossip from duplicitous colleagues, as they badmouth colleagues that they pretend to like. This isn't just the Branding & Communications team, but also Finance, P&O, Shipping, Trading, etc. These people are easily 70% of the company.

Cons

Leadership feels unbridled entitlement to your time beyond work days to include weekends and when you're on annual leave, asserting you should be "passionate" enough about your work to dedicate your whole life to "work-life integration" (i.e. love working for the company 24/7). Common to experience colleagues talking down to each other, within and across departments, especially from the department in charge of inspiring "well-being" to the world. On a daily basis, expect extreme punishment (i.e. get yelled at, threats to get fired) for any mistake that is deemed your fault, and little to no acknowledgment for surpassing KPIs.

Pros

if you are lucky, you get good colleagues and managers in your team

Cons

- long working hours - too much workload for 1 person to handle - high expectations without considering the workload and manpower - very political and a lot of bootlicking - no proper KPI/requirements for promotion - salary is not on par with market rate and workload - employees are expected to wear multiple hats with no additional remunerations - a lot of pointing fingers rather than problem solving
