Pros

The product is good, the people that you work with are good but that's were it stops.

Cons

Management is incompetent to lead a Salesforce. the company hires uni grads and ruins them as potential future sales reps, the only metrics that is important is the number of meeting booked: quantity over quality. there is no clear training path or well throughout plan once a meeting has been booked. Only a select few reps get proper training passed the fundamentals. There is no clear strategy on how to grow the business, just spray and pray. To entice new staff member the company post what looks like reasonable wages, however, this is misleading as the company is giving you a 15K commission upfront divided over 12 months, which means that the first 15K commission that you make has to be paid back to the company. (So a 60K base salary is, in fact, a 45K base salary) This is the most demotivating thing you can do to any sales professional. Existing Team members are being pushed out by the company in favour of competitor Reps, the organisation has a bully culture and management that has no real understanding of how to maintain and grow a sales team.

Pros

There was lots of training sessions - although it was very old school hard sales approach

Cons

Psychopaths and narcissists will survive and be part of the frat house club but if you're a genuine sincere person - you will come across as a weakling and not hungry enough for sales in the eyes of management. Trips to Canada for new management or advisors to meet the team and assimilate with the team but not for sales staff - makes you already feel unvalued as a new employee (not very motivating)

We appreciate the review. However, there are some inaccuracies we want to address. For example, we are unsure about the reference to “fake reviews” comes from, as we have an internal policy against this to ensure that all reviews are transparent and free from conflicts of interest. Employees, current and former, as you have indicated yourself to be, are always welcome to share honest reviews about their experience. HR does not post, nor do we directly ask anyone to post something. The reviews shared by employees are done so independently and of their own volition. You also reference “trips to Canada for new management or advisors to meet the team and assimilate” but this is also not true. While we have remote and in-office employees on both sides of the border, travel for new managers or advisors is not part of our standard onboarding program. We have successfully been connected to various teams across multiple time zones since before March 2020, and so travel is often not required. We very much appreciate the “Advice to Management” you shared. While we do have a high, yet achievable bar set for performance, our management teams are committed to coaching and developing teams to meet their highest potential and achieve the rewards associated with hitting and exceeding set goals. We have invested in further learning and development for all our employees, including managers, and take very seriously the feedback received via our annual and monthly engagement surveys as well as from one-on-one conversations and discussions. Your note indicates that there is more to be done, which we take to heart. Thank you again for sharing that insight with us.

As we continue to expand in our global markets, we are consistently evaluating processes and executing long- and short-term strategies to increase brand awareness. Our marketing team continues to implement proven strategies and tactics that have yielded exceptional results in our North American markets in other markets, including APAC and Europe. We understand that being a critical team member in these markets can come with growing pains, which is why we appreciate the patience of these teams as new awareness tactics progress. In the meantime, we offer various support systems, including thorough onboarding, on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to provide all team members with the resources they need to be successful in their roles. We encourage employees to take advantage of these opportunities, including the annual professional development stipend, to further enable their individual and team successes. Alongside supporting our global employees, we also provide several feedback loops for all employees. These feedback avenues include regularly scheduled 1-1 meetings with managers, monthly anonymous employee feedback surveys, company-wide Town Halls with a Q&A session at the end, and the opportunity to connect directly with HR to voice any concerns. We encourage you to take advantage of the internal feedback opportunities available and look forward to hearing your ideas. Thank you for your review.
