  • Maybe even get rid of a couple layers of middle-management (in 92 reviews)

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employees come first at Intuit. Take care of them and they'll take care of the customers, partners and shareholders. Intuit develops their people and invest a lot in training.

    Cons

It's fast-paced, at times scrappy but never boring. It's not for everyone.

    Advice to Management

Ensure your teams are supported to put the best systems and processes in place up-front so we can all have real-time access to the data needed to make desicions fast.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are great here. Coming to work is genuinely fun and the company embraces bringing your whole self to work.

    Cons

Company benefits are sub par relative to other companies in the same space. Considering that Intuit is a $49B company, it's employee benefits are pretty ordinary. $650 per year on fitness barely covers any gym membership.

Senior management don't really know what is happening on the floor. Targets are unrealistic and there is a huge disjoint between marketing and sales teams. No clear vision of strategy for the next 5 years and seems like management is just doing trial and error.

    Advice to Management

Try harder to recognise top talent and show employees that you value them. Offer more competitive salaries and opportunities to develop to retain top talent as many people have left because there is no room to grow. It's a shame because it's only the people that make Intuit so great to work for.

Revise strategy and share the vision with employees. Powering prosperity is too broad and so hard to relate to as it isn't concrete. It's all very "American", which is why we are struggling to be #1 in Australia.

    Pros

    - Excellent benefits for employees
    - Meaningful and strong Organizational values
    - Transparency in top down communication
    - Awesome peers across the globe who understand and support at all times

    Cons

    - can’t think any at this time

    Advice to Management

Internal Policies when changed should be clearly communicated for better alignment/implementation

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Incredible work culture - ping pong table, beers, lunches, amazing people and office harbour views.

    Cons

Expanded quickly but processes are not built for scalability. Constantly testing new things when teams are huge slows the pace and momentum.

    Advice to Management

Set up the foundations properly before scaling to ensure smooth processes and data accuracy.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Love that majority of employees live and breathe the values of Intuit. Employees are always encouraged by leadership to grow within their roles and pursue their career development goals within the business.

    Cons

The care team is often forgotten in the bigger scheme of things and communications between teams that are all located in one central location needs to be improved

    Advice to Management

As the Sydney office is growing, the culture of Intuit and the enthusiasm for what Intuit stands for is fading, please do whatever it takes to keep that fire and passion burning.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Office and pretty good benefits.
Everyone you work with are super smart.
    Values driven company.
Innovation and design thinking training and enthusiasm.
International company with long term growth plans.
    Work hard but play hard.
    Flexible working arrangements (WFH)

    Cons

Lots to do - work hard ain’t no joke.
Being regional limits long term career growth somewhat.
For a company with deep pockets we always seem to e asked to make gold out of straw.
Legacy systems with no sense of urgency to update.

    Advice to Management

Value the shy but steady workers equally to the Rock Star employees pushing the boundaries of awesome. I’ve seen several hard working, intelligent, heart of the team type individuals pushed out over the past year because they weren’t focused on being ‘game changing’ talent through innovation, but instead they showed up to work every day and got it done. Everyone can’t be a rockstar, and if we keep hiring rockstar profile employees, who will keep the machine moving?

    Pros

The team are energetic, passionate and really kind. You'll be overwhelmed how incredible every team is in terms of talent and warmth. Products are smart and evolving very rapidly which makes it a pleasure to stand behind the products they create

    Cons

Big organisation - can be a challenge to get to know everyone although the Senior Management really make a huge effort. The Country Manager seems to know everyone by name which is incredible!

    Advice to Management

Keep the energy and passion up, it's what makes this such a wonderful place to work

I have been working at Intuit full-time

    Pros

Intuit is a mission driven organisation with strong values. This is one of very few organisations who truly live and breath their values. Amazing leadership team, working here you will experience what a true leadership really means. They are passionate about serving others. The key to Intuit success is their learning culture. Everything you do is an experiment, you will either prove or disprove. There are only two options, either you learn or you learn :)

    Cons

Biggest challenge Intuit face is its size, which slows decision making. However, Intuit is working hard to overcome thing. It's just matter of time.
