      Some manager don't know how to lead.

      Pros

      1. Great people, most people are friendly and helpful. 2. Not too bad office 3. Events are nice !

      Cons

      1. Some bad eggs. Passive mockery happens. 2. Hiring bar is low compared to other tech startups. 3. Promotion seems impossible. Legacy employee attain a lead title because they have knowledge to legacy code but not based on their leading/CS capability. 4. Some manager is not a T shaped developer, they just don't know what their direct report is facing and expect all of them to perform the same way; They do not consider different tech stacks have different amount of technical debts. They do not event check how bad the technical debt is. They do not empathise. Quoting previous review Promotions and compensations are not based on merit but based on closeness, at upper level everybody used to work with each other Does not really embrace differences both in thinking and work style Too much focus on revenue and pleasing the investors It is all true and it is still happening

      iOS engineers - Stallions

      Pros

      One of the best iOS team in town / the world. Featured in WWDC for their iOS all. Did a rewrite in a less than a year with : Powerful data sync framework - no more out ot sync docs. Powerful ipad framework - coding ipad and iphone feels like a breeze. Crazy A/B test mobile framework - they can handle anything that pm wants to experiment without accumulating tech debt no more. Very very senior people in the iOS team, great mentorship have a great design taste. Look at the app right now - it’s amazing. The iOS team are Stallions, each one more magnificent than the last.

      Cons

      Long working hours, it’s rewrite time and no new feature what can we expect. Stressful, after stopping feature dev for almost a year, there’s a big expectation to catchup on the feature.

      Pros

      There's a lot of pros about working here. There's a large amount of opportunity for everyone who works there and there's great guidance on career development from within the business. The environment is very dynamic and engaging because the whole team across the organisation are very talented and passionate about what they do. There is great support to help you be the best you can be (especially from upper management).

      Cons

      It's not necessarily a con, more that those moving from a more corporate background may find it harder to adapt if they are not used to working in a fast-paced, agile environment that changes in priorities a lot. This is what's exciting about working for Invoice2go most of the time, it's just not always for everyone!
