Pros

- fun, young staff - clean, open concept office in an El Segundo business park includes parking - free snacks - dogs in office ok

Cons

- NO Human Resources department = huge red flag. Treating employees fairly, with respect or addressing career growth concerns is not a priority for the company. CEO is judge, jury, and executioner. Big reason for the revolving door of talented leaders who have come and voluntarily left the company - Lots of office drama. Resource or office-related conflicts and suggestions are never addressed with compassion or empathy - High expectations for junior staff to work long hours, with arrival and departure times secretly tracked - CEO is a poor decision-maker who is highly emotional and frequently takes his frustration out on the team despite being the cause for many of the issues - CEO openly bad-mouths employees, contractors, and competitors and is known to have awkward, borderline-inappropriate conversations with female employees, past and present - C Level is only effective in translating what the CEO says and diffusing awkward, tense moments in meetings involving CEO - Co-Founder unfortunately is not highly involved in day to day operation of the business, only for PR

Not a company anyone would actually want to work for.

Pros

Some good people aside from upper management

Cons

Much was wrong here, including: No strong sense of who/what the brand is The promise of perks during interviewing that were removed upon hiring: work from home (doesn’t exist unless you’re one of the “favorites”), unlimited paid time off (you might get 2 weeks but that’s at the discretion of your manager, and you will be penalized for wanting to take vacation at all), relaxed and happy work environment and culture (you’re expected to work until at least 6:30/7 every night and have slack and email installed on your phone to keep checking at all hours of the day/night/weekend) Very expensive medical benefits and no 401k Open floor plan where everyone and everything is heard. Even when whispering. No privacy. In addition, the culture is truly toxic. People quit and/or were fired constantly. Upper management does not respect the people who report to them and take every opportunity to ream out their direct reports. Micromanagement is rampant here. In a day and age where company culture is becoming increasingly important, this company falls incredibly short. Free lunch twice a week doesn’t make up for people being miserable at their jobs all day long. This is not a company I’d recommend.

Pros

- Starting salary is okay.

Cons

- Unlimited vacation is VERY limited. Taking to much will get you fired. - Leadership lacks vision and competence, and aren't qualified to make creative decisions. - Employees have no work-life balance and our expected to be online 24/7. - Morale is at rock bottom due to an environment governed by fear. - Titles are given out freely without consideration for proper qualifications, which leads to gross incompetence and redundancies. - Benefits are virtually non-existent. Health plans leave a ton to be desired. - Quick to hire, quick to fire.

We're sincerely sorry this is what you experienced in the past. We appreciate everyone on our team, and we've restructured a lot of our internal policies to make sure that the situations described above do not continue to happen. Management is committed to creating a genuine and empowering culture for all employees and the company is operating very differently now than it was 6 months ago. With growth comes careful consideration of leadership practices, professional development for employees and attracting the best talent for our business. We wish you the best of luck on your new endeavors.
