How did your company treat you during COVID?

Pros

A great, dynamic group of coworkers. Brag-worthy clients. Good portfolio builders.

Cons

Massive COVID layoffs (about 1/3 of the company) and the remaining workforce saw 20% pay cuts—remember that when they start hiring again. People are not valued over money here. Below average pay. Pay raises above 2% are considered "generous". Toxicity in creative department culture. Driving your employees to tears is no way to lead. Unless you have a manager that vouches for you and truly has your best interests in mind, you and any work you do will be lost in the shuffle. Teacher's pets receive bulk of the praise.

Pros

I made some great friends while working at Karsh. Centrally located Free parking

Cons

Upper management does not value their employees and does not support them when working with difficult clients Underpaid When working with Kathy, she makes everything more difficult and is very egotist, narcissistic and demeaning to her employees.

Pros

Overall it was a great experience and a great way to get your feet wet in the industry. You get to work with clients needs fairly directly and learn how media works in an ad agency. You also have exposure to all other disciplines within the agency and get to learn a lot. People are willing to help and lend a hand whenever needed.

Cons

For the most part, you are with your intern group a lot. I had a really great group so it made that fun, but you aren't getting as much exposure to your specific section as as possible. Also, the interns work on a pro bono client, but the client does not have need for any media placement, so it is sometimes hard to determine exactly what you can do for them.
