Kemberton Reviews

Pretty much all of the positive reviews are salaried employees. (Or reviews before the company changed leadership) As Kemberton has become more top heavy, management has become tonedeaf to the fact that the average associate here is VERY unhappy. CEO recently indirectly asked employees to leave positive reviews as to not deter future hires, you can't make this stuff up. The amount of problems with this company are sincerely too many to list, but here are a few you should be aware of: The investment firm (LLR) that bought Kemberton in May of 2017 has turned this company into another corporate focused entity with very little of the benefits and ALL of the drawbacks. C level employees like to believe they are transparent and try to create this false narrative of an open door policy. Most employees see through the plastic. By their own admission this is the actual mentality: "You have to prove us wrong, before we'll listen to your suggestions on policy or procedures" Aka I'm always right by default. That's almost a direct quote. (Yikes) So sure you can speak up, but if you do, you are pretty much sealing your progression at this organization. Micromanagement now exists to a level that takes away any pride in your work. They don't trust anyone to do their job. Which makes sense due to the amount of useless employees they refuse to fire. (Also most of their best managers and associates are unhappy and are beginning to leave) We've lost 3 department managers in the past 4 months, all of which had been with the company 5+ years. Extremely low pay. Which they have even admitted recently. Due to the nature of the business there is a limit to how much they can scale our pay. (Meaning that even with this growth they keep saying is right around the corner, you will never be paid fairly if you work hard here.) You might be able to play the office politics game and score a salaried position. It's a sad day when a workplace I used to love is now one I am beyond excited to eventually leave. The bottom line is this: Your soul/spirit will be used as fuel, then when you burn out, they'll find another sucker to continue this work.
