Pros

The team members bonded, whether it be over stress from work or misery who knows, but everyone took care of each other emotionally.

Cons

Two execs know what their doing, know how to lead a team, know how to talk to employees and work with them to grow. One exec who started this all does not know how to lead or have any leadership skills. They are constantly letting go of people. People who disagree with the CEO are let go. CEO is unreasonable in their requests and asks. There is an expectation that if you are not in office, you are slacking off. Morale is low and there is a constant fear in the office. There is a fake culture of positivity, transparency, and growth. The CEO uses transparency as a way to belittle employees and place blame.

Pros

Half day Fridays Professional development budget Twice yearly recharge Lunch + Snacks

Cons

No sense of job security They fire more than they hire All the above ‘pros’ were taken away NEVER take a job in marketing, you will get fired. NEVER take a job in sales as they will take away your commission, get in the way of deals, not trust you, change your comp plan. CEO is a first time founder and focused too much on product. No distribution, No demand engine, No future. Last of all, they are backed by Insight Partners which is going to slow down funding.

Toxic culture hurting some great employees

Pros

The product is quite innovative. Most people at lower management and below are willing to roll up their sleeves and offer helpful and constructive feedback, jump in where helpful, and offer valuable support. For those in office, there are some pretty cool perks.

Cons

Your job generally, no matter what function, is to execute on a very specific vision from the c-suite that is not communicated, making it extremely easy to action “incorrectly”. There’s no room for innovation, as you have to execute on one person’s vision at all times. There is also an extreme level of micromanagement that comes from the c-suite, as you can see touched upon in other reviews. Values of “work-life balance” are tossed around but not truly instilled in the company – you will receive messages all hours. People are uncomfortable voicing concerns or feedback. If you go against the grain, you will feel repercussions.
