Pros

This company not only struggled to deliver quality games but also cultivated a deeply toxic and discriminatory work environment. My tenure there was, in all honesty, a nightmarish ordeal, and I believe it's crucial to share my experiences to alert potential future employees. One possible silver lining was the startup atmosphere, which allowed for a significant degree of autonomy in managing various aspects of the pipeline. However, this relative freedom was overshadowed by a plethora of issues. One of the most glaring problems was the glaring lack of respect for employees. It was painfully evident that the founders, who held considerable power and wealth, were treated with stark favoritism. There was a noticeable disparity in how they were handled compared to the rest of the workforce, which bred resentment and division within the company. Furthermore, the leadership's complete disregard for employee well-being was appalling. Communication breakdowns were rampant; the higher-ups rarely engaged with the staff, further alienating the workforce. This lack of engagement extended to a lack of basic respect and consideration for the concerns of employees, a deeply unsettling aspect of the leadership. As for the so-called "game makers," their claim to expertise was unsubstantiated by the quality of the games they produced. It was baffling that they purported to share knowledge about game development when their own company's products were in shambles. This raised significant questions about the company's credibility and competence in the industry. In summary, while the startup culture and autonomy offered some potential benefits, they were grossly overshadowed by the toxic, discriminatory, and disrespectful environment that permeated the company. The leadership's ineffectiveness and lack of regard for its employees, combined with the poor quality of the games, make this company a less-than-ideal choice for anyone seeking a fulfilling career in the gaming industry.

Cons

The founders and co-founders of this company had previously been let go from their positions due to a significant lack of skill, and yet somehow managed to convince a few investors to support them. This could be seen as a testament to their ability to persuade, but it also serves as a stark reminder that success stories aren't always what they seem. It should motivate us all to pursue our own dreams, knowing that if they can start a company, so can we. However, I must emphatically advise against joining this company, as it could be detrimental to your mental health. The leadership here has a penchant for micromanagement and constant criticism, despite their own glaring shortcomings. They lead opulent lifestyles while complaining about trivial "first-world problems," such as where to send their children to school, all the while oblivious to the sacrifices their employees make. Many of us work tirelessly, including weekends, far from our families, and endure grueling 12+ hour workdays. Perhaps the most baffling aspect is the company's habit of hiring individuals from non-gaming backgrounds to dictate game development decisions to seasoned professionals. This irony is not lost on anyone who has to endure their unsolicited advice and micromanagement. They have a knack for hovering around your workspace, only to later gossip negatively about your activities behind your back. The scrutiny is relentless, with everyone seemingly more focused on monitoring your every move than actually working. It's essential to approach the seemingly positive 5-star reviews with skepticism, as there is reason to believe that they were posted by the same toxic HR personnel who likely faced their own dismissals. Firing employees appears to be ingrained in the company culture, with a consistent stream of terminations—sometimes as many as 2 to 3 employees per month—within a team of 50. This disturbing trend speaks volumes about the company's management and overall pathos. In conclusion, while the company's founders may inspire us to pursue our own dreams, the toxic work environment, micromanagement, and frequent terminations make this company a place to avoid at all costs. Your mental health and professional growth deserve better than what this organization has to offer.

Pros

It is an excellent company to raise your CTC, the people working there are nice, although they are slowly leaving. You get lunch and they organize parties and things like that. Insurance is there for you and your family, the office looks decent, no formal dress code.

Cons

"Daily working hours range from 8-10 hours. Weekly hours cannot exceed 48 hours." That's what the Indian Labor Law states, but these people seem not to understand this, and they think they are getting away with this. Only a matter of time before they legally get wrecked for this. Extreme racism is practiced in this company, they see Indian people as slaves. They want cheap labor with people working there all day like in Asian Factories. They will never come and greet you but they expect you to do so because somehow they are superior. They also say pretty bad things about India and people there just sit and listen because anyone giving feedback is fired. That is the reason that they failed to even make a basic game, and they will never be able to make it. The only thing that they are good at is fake marketing, and that is the thing that holds this company barely standing. Everyone in indie gaming just laughs at them behind their backs but they are too stupid to see and understand. They once implemented this rule where you had to pay Rs 200 for every minute you were late and wouldn't get anything extra if you worked late, hypocrisy at its best. No work from home for Indian employees but these Western egoistic leaders can go to the US anytime for months of vacation and working from home. Instead of working the leaders keep staring at employees and selecting who to fire next, they put extra desks for more people to join sadly the already filled desks got empty haha. I can go on and on but if this does not warn you I don't know what else will, so good luck.

Pros

- Meet talented Game Dev professionals with whom you can enjoy shared trauma. - Super ambitious project! Nobody knows how they are adding value though though, everyone is just throwing sh*t at a wall and hoping that something sticks. - Great marketing, makes the company look cool and modern whereas reality is a stark contrast . - Amazing benefits, founders think that providing you with a Macbook/PC (read as essential equipment) is the highest level of generosity for which you should be forever grateful, - Everyone is treated equally! Except of course, the founders who travel back to the US every 2 months and enjoy a 1 month vacation while the rest of the employees are forced to work weekends. - Cool office! They'll pay you so little (except if you're a dev) that the only place you can afford to spend time at is this amazing office.

Cons

- Indians are viewed as nothing but cheap labour. This is the largest problem which trickles down and subliminally affects all other aspects of the company. - Sexist outlook. Want to hire women just to portray a certain image. Multiple instances of subtle yet disgusting sexist comments. - Childish. Fragile egos. Insecurity stems from the fact that they are not equipped to build this "very ambitious project". - Toxic cant begin to describe the culture. Sick? Come to office. Burnt out? Come to office. Mental breakdown? Come to office while you are mocked behind closed doors. - I could go on and on but honestly if you read this review and still want to work here, there's not much more I can do to convince you otherwise.
