Pros

-Allow you to venture into new territory ...with of course expectation of making money -Casual work attire -Free lunch at the end of each month -Usually leave around 3:30pm on Fridays for happy hour -Young trading crowd who are relatable

Cons

-Pie in the sky idea of huge bonuses - typically the upper managements main pitch -LACK of leadership from every stage of the company -"Loc Managers" are merely traders who found a niche and were successful. Half of them are not management material -Upper management (VP's) give little direction and are extremely cold people. Only time they talk to you is if there is a problem -The mentality of Lansing is to induce fear into their employees...produce or be let go -Company has lost a lot of good traders in the past 2 years and I think they will continue that trend -They don't value their employees - rather the bottom line. -There is no training by Loc Managers...again...because they aren't managers

No bonuses, management uses the promises of bonuses to drag traders along, bonuses never materialize Math on bonuses somehow magically works out to zero, even when trader can prove profit Traders work to earn profit and then all the money gets put into "corporate allocation" VPs and management are skimming off the top Company is trying to snipe competitor talent for extra growth and to get access to others customers No strategy or communication on company future Management sacrifices employees instead of admitting to their mistakes Work is more politics than work

Great profit-sharing bonus structure. Did I mention good possibility to make money? Good experience if you want to learn to trade but otherwise.... not a choice employer IMHO.

Cons

During my employment management demonstrates very little interest in me as an employee but rather had one and one interest at heart - making money. Good company if you're a shark and don't mind doing WHATEVER it takes to make money. I chose my reputation rather than high income. Good company for some quick money, I didn't see myself enduring verbal abuse from management for much longer in spite of the good money.
