Pros

None. Literally nothing about that place is positive.

Cons

This is the worst place to work in Toronto I promise you. Very toxic environment and you will never feel good enough to please the management or Chef Lee. They verbally abuse the staff and pick and choose who they want to move up and pay more. They show signs of racism as well and If you ever dine into the restaurant you will notice the FOH are mostly white staff. The people cleaning your tables and bringing you food are people of colour. The runners do 70% of the job to run the restaurant but get paid the least and servers don’t really do much and get paid more. It’s not hard serving there lol. They steal tips from everyone since it’s a pool shared system and they have already been caught multiple times in the act. They bully the staff and make us feel like we will never be good enough. - You don’t make me money - Your mental health will be effected - Too much work - Cheap environment The staff room is disgusting and we get no discounts on food. Also. The place is infesting with cockroaches. Save yourself time and go find a normal serving job because you will make more working somewhere else in 2 days than you will ever make in this place.

Restaurant for insane people

Pros

Fun coworkers, beautiful restaurant, the ability to quit

Cons

This place is insane. Customers are (usually) fine, coworkers are fine, but management is full of arrogant clowns. Their management style borders on abusive. I saw management curse, yell, throw things, name call against their staff regularly. They clearly do not know how to treat people and it shows through how many people quit. They hide behind the curtain that the job is a "tough gig" without realizing THEY are the ones who are making it that way. While pushing employees to exercise top-notch professionalism, they'll regularly have temper tantrums like toddlers. There is nothing professional about being an ignorant d ck. They are miserable and deserve to be. I saw male management get too close to some of the female staff. Pathetic men who routinely go after women employees half their age since they know they have no game so they use their power and authority instead. There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how awful this place is. Please do not work here for your own sake.

Not up to standard

Pros

Staff overall are friendly and great.

Cons

Toxic Culture and Environment, where everyone was on edge constantly from being scared to make mistakes, especially if Chef Lee was in. Managers talked to staff like they were idiots or children. Money wasn’t up to par tip wise. They use a tip out point system, which at the top of it, getting tipped out the most were the managers each night. Bartenders were discouraged to chat up bar guests as their sole purpose was to be a service bar. All cocktails are batched. which is fine but left a lot to be desired. Most of the staff are below 25 and are new to Canada. No issues with that myself, it just means that they get taken advantage of easily by management and Chef Lee
