Pros

The benefits are quite decent.

Cons

There is constant employee turnover. People are not hired on merit but if they have worked with the CEO or COO in the past. The CEO is unethical, and HR constantly has employees sign agreements to avoid lawsuits to protect the PE company and the CEO. This company can be a Harvard case study on what not to do in a workplace setting!!!

Pros

SKYN is a game-changer, consistently driving category-leading growth year after year. With strong executive leadership that capitalizes on emerging consumer trends, this company has the potential to achieve even greater success.

Cons

Decisions made by the Marketing team led to the significant decline of the LifeStyles Condom business. Human Resources (HR) leadership, based outside North America, was frequently and publicly criticized by North American executive leaders for incompetence. The Executive Leadership Team knowingly enabled “protected” individuals to foster a toxic work environment, creating division among Supply, Sales, and Marketing teams. This environment was reportedly used as a means to influence the dismissal of key contributors. Senior Sales Leaders and the CEO knowingly either allowed or ignored the resulting workplace dysfunction. Top performers across key departments were forced out of the organization due to rigid mandates requiring all Supply, Sales, and Marketing team members to work from the New York City office between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM with no flexibility. Proven sales leaders, who previously worked effectively near key retail headquarters across the U.S., were also pushed out because they were unable to meet the untraditional requirement of being in the New York office at least three days a week, instead of being near the key sales brokers and retail decision makers. Years of hiring of unqualified Marketing Directors contributed to the decline of the LifeStyles brand and the poorly executed launches of SKYN brand innovations. The new CEO further exacerbated delays and stress within the organization by failing to make consistent and decisive decisions. Time spent on delivering the next cost increase should have been spent on building more impactful and effective marketing programs. As a private equity business, promises of stock grants or equity shares were made to attract talented leaders across key departments. However, these commitments were reversed by the new executive team, eroding trust and morale. Additionally, employees residing outside New York State were inexplicably over night required to file income taxes as New York State residents rather than in their home states. This policy change was poorly communicated and executed by the HR and leadership team, along with the third-party payroll provider, resulting in confusion , distraction, and cultural frustration.” This revision balances professionalism with an objective tone while maintaining the details and concerns you outlined.
