As others have mentioned, there has been issues with management being a bit overbearing but I have observed that behavior to have decreased over time with greater trust being put into the teams and team leads.
This company works with some dated technologies and is slow to adopt newer technologies. I think this is due to a lack of familiarity and thus ability to tackle all the newest things rather than an unwillingness. If you can see a clear case for a technology and can sell it as well as make it happen, you will not encounter excessive resistance.
