Pros

For all the positive reviews shared, they were told by the HR and people team to beef up the glassdoor reviews. So take those with a pinch of salt. The pros of the company are quite limited, it started or wanted to go in the right direction although, the whole management works with a scattergun approach. The culture which is shown outside isnt the actual culture. The select few individuals are favored and the rest are neglected or to be sacrificed. Your performance hardly matters, even if you are great performer your job might be in danger due to the management whims. They will onboard you get you and extract all the work from you and one fine day your job might be in danger.

Cons

The cons are the product is limited, the management and owners are only passionate about poker but lack industry knowledge to sustain. They have a hire and fire culture, while accepting an offer try to get an understanding if the product or the work you are doing is long term project or not. Otherwise they will onboard you, get everything needed and that would be the end of it. Additionally, there are no defined career paths, there are no proper processes, and also the producers dictate all the matters in terms of engineering and technical aspects. A lot of them are completely oblivious to technology and it's know how and still try to push technical decisions. It shows a complete lack of understanding from the management.

Squandered potential

Pros

-Pay/bonuses/benefits are great -Perks are (were?) great -WFH/fully remote -Flexibility -Understanding team (can vary by department, obviously)

Cons

-Consistent waves of layoffs. You can think you're safe after making it through one, and then 6 months later another one happens and either you're gone or your trusted team members are, without warning. Even leads don't know till last minute. -Constantly feeling insecure and uncertain, due to the above. Trust has been eroded. We are not "stronger than ever", despite what is said at each post-layoff all hands. -Upper level people are not held accountable, so the lower level employees are the ones who get shafted. Logic where? -Disconnect between departments, no communication, results in major errors that could've been avoided if certain producers were willing to set aside their pride and ask questions, rather than acting like they know everything or passing the buck. -Company may not survive the next year?

Fantastic people, unrealistic approach to reality

Pros

- 100% remote - Fantastic people to work with depending on your team - Great work/life balance - Top of the line equipment provided by the company - Unlimited sick PTO, 3 weeks vacation - Pretty awesome insurance - Some in-person events - Every other month there are internal contests and birthday/anniversary shout outs - Yearly bonus and raises

Cons

- Abysmal communication practices, every team has a disconnect to each other without ever improving or trying to implement fixing issues - No room to grow unless you already began on top of the food chain - Family matrix is literally non-existent - Patching hilariously awful where every release would have a handoff within hours of deployment - Unrealistic throwing employees into alligator fueled waters; expecting that teams that get slashed in half overnight to still be able to handle the work load of 2-5 out-of-the-blue laid off colleagues onto 1-2 left over employees - Lends heavily into favoritism regardless of tenure or production
