Pros

Hardworking and kind colleagues who make it bearable to work there.

Cons

Toxic leadership: The mood-swings, the yelling, the scheming and a general "I'm bigger than you mentality". Clear favouritism shown to those who worked previously at ID BBN or those who are physically present in the Turku office. Belittling, ignoring, not providing support, not rewarding good work-- for the rest of us. Inequality: Many of us were treated like we were too young and too inexperienced despite extensive education and proven experience in our fields. Apparently, you have to be 50+ and from Turku to be considered or listened to at Luxid. No loyalty: They would suggest pay cuts or offer exit deals very quickly rather than allowing the person to improve performance. People weren't the priority, or what they had going on in their personal lives. The client wanted something? Luxid leadership bent over backwards and stepped on their own employees to give it to the client. No possibility to advance: I heard a situation where a long-time employee was asking for a senior title. They were told that they have to work on multiple clients to qualify, but then not allowed to work on multiple clients because the one they work for now needs them too much. Nice little catch 22 so Luxid didn’t have to promote. Turku v Helsinki or ID BBN v Luxus Worldwide: it was essentially a hostile takeover by ID BBN when these two companies merged. If you didn't fit with what the Turku people from ID BBN wanted- you had to go in one way or another. "Hybrid working": I was personally berated for not coming to the Helsinki office enough and not attending company events outside of working hours. Even though all of these were communicated as voluntary. Money is more important than people: They skin the team to bare bones, expect you to do the work of 5 people and then when you're well and truly exhausted- they let you know that you're not good enough to keep around anymore. When I left Luxid, I felt awful about myself- like I wasn't good at my job and had no people skills, I felt like a failure because they just wanted to get rid of me. It took a lot of time to find some of that self-confidence again after they had broken my spirit. I am still working on finding pieces of myself that they crushed.

A Company You Should Avoid

Pros

Some professional, smart and nice people.

Cons

Management at this company is in disarray. If individuals are not physically present with management at the headquarters office, they risk being ignored. Some departments are managed by individuals who lack understanding of job roles, possess no professional knowledge of the work, and demonstrate apathy towards it. The CEO primarily follows directives from the COO, who also assumes the CFO's responsibilities, including denying funding for internal tools aimed at improving employees' work efficiency. Line managers lack comprehension or interest in activities on client projects. Management exhibits severely limited vision and disregard for ethical considerations, resorting to falsehoods to achieve objectives. Agreements made with department heads often go unfulfilled, as they are frequently overridden to please higher-ups. The internal slogan "One Luxid" applies exclusively to those favored within the organization.

Toxic leadership and favouritism

Pros

Smart, professional and ambitious co-workers

Cons

Toxic leadership, favouritism; if you are not part of the inner sircle and don't agree with management, then you are pretty much invisible and don't get heard. Some individuals at management team show openly severe mood swings in daily bases; this creates insecurity and fear within staff members.
