Cons
MLM medical labs is a prime example of what happens when upper management has no management experience and refuses to acknowledge feedback from employees. Poor management practices have led to overworked employees who are instructed to cut corners for the sake of deadlines. Plagiarism is encouraged for the sake of quick turnaround times, training is neglected and considered a burden, and time management for projects is nonexistent. Poor planning from management results in panic on their end which translates into unrealistic expectations from employees. It’s not unusual for employees to be told they must work over the weekend when it’s 3:00 on a Friday. Pay raises, promotions, and bonuses are laughable if they even exist. The promises of growth opportunities are a fantasy that management promises is always just around the corner. Management meets behind closed doors to discuss companywide policies with no regard for the employees they will affect. In a small company such as MLM, shutting out employees’ feedback isn’t an acceptable approach to problem solving. There’s a pervasive mentality of everyone “wearing many hats” to make ends meet, and this attitude leads to an oppressive toxic workplace where people are expected to complete tasks that are far outside of their job descriptions, receive no recognition for their work, and potentially have someone else claim ownership over the finished product. This company has one of the lowest retention rates I’ve ever seen. New employees enter with hope and optimism and leave within a year due to frustrations and disrespect. Working for MLM will leave you feeling unappreciated, unimportant, and burned out. Your time would be better spent working elsewhere.
