I worked at MYOB full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Good culture - Worklife balance - 20% of time could be invested in research and learning

    Cons

    - KKR acquisition brought some drastic changes - Some managers that came from banks and big corporations struggled to adapt to a CI/CD environment - Too many reports and power point presentations, many of them pointless

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at MYOB full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people to work with Interesting technical challenges to solve Great deal of autonomy on how to tackle problems Nice culture (before takeover!)

    Cons

Mass redundancies Loss of strong technical talent due to redundancies / attrition Seemingly no clear direction Moving to a model where most of the development work is done by external contracting companies both domestically and internationally (China) Untruthful management - during the redundancy period, employees were told that no decision was final and that there would be a consultation period. However prior to this date, the CEO had already confirmed to the media that redundancies had taken place.

    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at MYOB full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work life balance Some highly skilled people still with the company Great office environment Amazing culture before private equity take over by kkr

    Cons

Outdated products when compared to competition, the product is atleast 2 years behind from a competitive stand point, it’s too hard to sell desktop products in an online world. High Bureaucracy, the actual work of sales begins after the deal is closed, too many internal hoops to jump. As with any large organisation, your experience depends on the managers you work with.
