      Don’t be fooled in your interview. You will come out of there thinking Maddocks is the place to be... it is NOT! Management and the partners are all narcissistic people - no heart, no gratitude... purely selfish people who are only after the dollar. Salary is rubbish for working like a dog and acting like a robot. They pretend they are listening to your concerns but they are only sweeping it under the rug. You will be miserable working at Maddocks. Plenty of fantastic firms out there who will value you and offer a lot more benefits. Go to them.

      The biggest pro to come out of working here is the friends I’ve made.

      Cons

      Extremely poor management. If there are any behavioural issues within teams, both partners and HR turn a blind eye. If you bring money in for the firm, they will forgive any kind of behaviour. The partners at this firm are among the worst I’ve ever worked with. They will kill your spirit and self confidence! As far as legal careers go, I agree with a previous negative review, Maddocks is indeed where legal careers go to die!

      If you stay a year you'll get the charity "it's okay, I know" nod from other firms for having been in this crap firm.

      Cons

      Management do not support their staff. Too many old employees that intimidate new staff, terrible working culture. Don't apply for a job here you'll be sorry. #Bullies.
