Pros

Many talented folks used to work here and I got the pleasure of collaborating with them. Ok experience if leadership likes you.

Cons

If leadership decides they don't like you for some arbitrary reason which can simply be they need to balance their books because they have zero clue how to retain clients or talent. Be prepared to be bullied, micromanaged, given busy work that takes you away from critical work (that would actually benefit the org) to only be scrutinized and picked apart, further wasting everyone's time, when focus should be placed on actually solving real business challenges; such as their tanking business and dried up prospects from burning bridges. Extremely incompetent leadership that needs so much hand-holding and couldn't scope a project if it was handed to them on a silver platter. The bad habits that are being taught here will not help anyone junior or senior further their career. People are frequently yelled at or chastised by c-suite over pointless things. Countless stories coming out of the woodwork about sketchy tactics and borderline illegal practices to threaten and intimidate employees. It's a sinking ship that has had multiple secret layoffs the past year with sneaky line items in the termination letters trying to hush people or they'll "come after you". The worst place I've ever worked at in my entire career! I never knew what a toxic work environment was until Mammoth Growth. Promised a lot. Ended up with PTSD.

Pros

One of the great things about working for Mammoth is the remote culture. We know how to collaborate across time zones and work together effectively without it mattering that we've never met in person. Everyone is always willing to help each other out via Slack or a Zoom call and enjoys both learning and teaching.

Cons

The work can be challenging, but it's rewarding. If you are willing to work hard, you can learn so much more at Mammoth as a consultant than you would working for a single company.

Pros

- Remote: fully remote and has an international team - Manager-less: very flat organization and everyone owns their own work - Management group is very approachable - Helpful environment: very helpful and friendly teammates when you have questions and concerns on projects - Encourages employees to learn and grow in skills: internal forums and chat networks for learning resource and knowledge base (still growing) - Data projects from a wide range of industries - Modern data stack usage

Cons

- No benefits - Most teammates are contractors: may or may not be a con since some people don't mind - Ambiguous growth direction: flip side of manager-less organization. The company seems to be trying to figure out a clearer standard on this, but it is still unclear as of now - Ambiguous compensation standard: comes with having an ambiguous growth direction
