Pros

The consultants overall are very smart and support each other. They work hard and clients love them.

Cons

The CEO is completely out of touch. She mentions her “accomplishments” continually and talks about her stock portfolio on company calls. She and the COO are out of sync which leads to confusion. The COO overpromises on contracts and wants everyone to be allocated 100%. They do not pay people what they are worth. When people ask for a raise HR is allowed to dictate the conversation, bullying consultants and ignoring the manager's recommendations. They like to offer bonuses instead of actual pay raises and then they "forget" to pay the bonus. They have a habit of firing people who hold them accountable for living up to their promises. I have seen PMs, CSMs and managers leave or let go when they pushed for accountability. If they let you go, they will give you the minimum your state requires, they will give you nothing if they can get away with it. They brag about being invested in their employees and having a career path, there is no path. Your title may change but what you do does not. They have a development plan that they say is voluntary but if you don't participate, they will hold it against you. Their Stevie Award for Social Responsibility was something the CEO had her eye on for years and she literally created a program tailored to win the award. Any philanthropic work is done to feed the CEO's ego.

Pros

There are not many.... Wasif is pretty great. Never understood why someone with his background and pull in the industry remains. My only guess is he is waiting out Maneeza to buy her out.

Cons

This could be a good place but the CEO is sadly running the place into the ground. Nothing can get done because she hinders everything. She is unprofessional most days. She forgets most things she says, she changes her mind without telling her staff, she manipulates, she is aggressive and talks down to her staff. She has had top talent at her company but sadly none stay due to the lack of progress with anything and the emotional and pyschological abuse. She loses staff at a pace I have yet to see at any company three times bigger than this small company. All of the issues stem from the CEO. She is smart but she needs to step away and let the staff that she hired to do their jobs and run the company. Sadly, she is the owner so no matter what she does, no reprocussions will be had.

Pros

The giant enterprise clients are what marketers dream of working with.

Cons

The turnover rate tells the story. Go on maternity leave for a couple of months and there will be a whole crop of employees who have come and gone since you left. Management brags about its growth constantly, but it's not growth if you're just backfilling positions because people can't get away from you fast enough. Forget about any kind of career advancement - they tell you there are all kinds of opportunities to move up, but they will always find an excuse to prevent you from actually doing it. And forget about taking time off - you're either scrambling like crazy to cover for someone who quit, or your boss flat-out says no, or chunks of PTO hours have magically disappeared from their HR system. (In fairness, they do replace the hours when you call them on it, but why are they randomly disappearing in the first place??)

Marvel Marketers Response

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. We appreciate al feedback. We would like to clarify some of your remarks: We have grown year over year since we started in 2013. The growth we mention is actual growth and is not backfills as you have stated. To assist in the development and career growth of our employees, we have rolled out a career path and development program, which allows employees the opportunities for professional development and career growth progression in their career journey at Marvel Marketers. The feedback we have received since this rolled out has been extremely positive. We encourage our employees to take time off. They earn the time and we want to ensure everyone takes the time necessary. We do ask for the time off to be requested in advance so we can ensure proper coverage on the employee's projects so they are not disturbed while enjoying their time. If any adjustments were requested due to a question on the appropriate PTO hours, this may have been due to a change in policy related to roll over hours, which was communicated in advance, and so therefore, after review, the updates were made timely. The success of our company is due to the smart intelligent people who work with us, at all levels. We stress this belief with every award that we receive and in all meetings that we have with the team. We appreciate and value the dedication and passion of our teams, both past, present and future.
