Pros

The people in my immediate team who I trusted and kept me sane.

Cons

#1, new COO Catherine Baxter. Most vile, incompetent bully with the emotional intelligence of a carrot has completely destroyed everything that was good about the company. Treats people with zero respect, leads by instilling fear, cuts all programs which focus on developing people and the culture, thinks that rail skills are the only thing that is needed. I’ve never seen the morale take such a downturn in a company based on one person joining the business. If I ever saw her in another company I would run the other way. Really disappointed in the board and the rest of the executive team for allowing this monster to remain and be promoted.

Pros

Myki, the salary, the bonus,

Cons

It's all talk and very little action at Metro towers, where macro aggression and micro management rules. A stench of rotten milk permeates the air, and that's not the only thing going sour. Highly qualified, capable professionals are degraded with menial tasks, set by $160-$200k per year 'Project Managers' with inferiority complexes and fragile egos. The rules are simple: know your place, don't rock the boat, and don't destroy your network. Those brave enough to speak out and hold their nerve through the resulting 'storm' will ultimately will learn that all the threats that previously kept them in check are bluff and bluster. To existing employees reading this who are having a hard time - believe in yourself and seek more meaningful employment elsewhere. You are probably better than most of the people who are above you.

Pros

Stable employment and honestly nothing else

Cons

Working at MTM has been an underwhelming experience to say the least. The company's conservative approach to everything, from innovation to accepting new ideas, has left me frustrated and disheartened. One glaring example of this conservatism is the way they handle new ideas. Rather than embracing fresh perspectives and innovation, MTM seems to prefer sticking to the old ways and shunning any suggestions for improvement. This lack of openness to change stifles creativity and hinders progress within the organization. Moreover, my encounter with the HR department left me questioning their professionalism. During a salary negotiation, I was met with the baffling statement that "working is not for money." This is not only unprofessional but also insensitive to the very real financial needs of employees. Such comments do not foster a healthy and respectful work environment. Furthermore, my annual performance review yielded an exceeding expectation rating, which I worked hard to achieve. However, the subsequent salary increase and bonus did not reflect this achievement. It was disheartening to see that my compensation was on par with colleagues who received only an average rating. This disparity between performance and compensation is demotivating and raises questions about the fairness of the company's reward system. In conclusion, my time at MTM has been marked by a lack of innovation, unprofessional HR interactions, and disappointing compensation practices. I hope that MTM can reconsider its approach to these aspects of the workplace to create a more inclusive and motivating environment for its employees.
