Pros

-welcome package -free breakfast if it’s there -drinks on Friday -networking with a couple of clients that genuinely care for you.

Cons

From the start at MiPA, you feel welcomed by a seemingly friendly group of people. But that changes quickly once you're thrown into the deep end. It often felt like I was always being singled out and expected to fit into a specific personality mold, which made it tough to just be myself. Not being able to chat comfortably with colleagues or get any support from management made integrating into the team really hard. The pressure from management, some colleagues, and clients was intense and took a toll on my mental health. No matter how hard I worked, it never seemed to be enough for the company, making me dread coming in each day. Going on holiday was stressful because of the insane amount of prep required for handovers. I had to ensure everything was perfect while also maintaining a 90% billable rate, or management would come down hard on me. Even when I did my best, any tiny mistake would lead to harsh criticism. Before one holiday, I had almost finished my handover when I found out a fired colleague’s clients were being dumped on me. This meant extra, unbillable work for training others and catching up on old client work, on top of my own handover and billable tasks. Management and colleagues offered no support, basically telling me to suck it up. Despite working hours being 7:30-4:00 or 8:00-4:30, I often didn't leave until 5, 6, or even 7 at night because of the crushing workload and zero help. Clients would even call my personal number during holidays, weekends, and when I was sick. If you want to be under appreciated , underpaid, overworked, and have your mental health messed with, this is the perfect place for you.

Pros

-The call side staff and some of the PAs were such cool people!! -Office dog (when he was in)

Cons

-overworked, and made feel like nothing you do is good enough (even though you’re paid the bare minimum) -Each PA has 10-14 clients each, and are expected to keep up with the unrealistic expectations set by management-ON TOP of having their 10-14 clients. -manager has confidently told staff to their faces ‘everyone’s replaceable’ leading staff to feel undervalued. why would anyone work hard for a company that says this? -Management are very clicky and talk bad about the staff! -High turnover of staff, everyone’s leaving because they’re unhappy with the pay and how they’re treated. -Constantly put under pressure and made feel worthless. -The environment is not good! -when people leave management put it down to ‘oh well, they obviously couldn’t do the job’! -They’ve sacked people on the spot for not sharing the same way of thinking. -Also, the management team actively try to remove bad reviews.

Pros

None, and I mean - NONE.

Cons

The first week you are made to feel comfortable and like everyone in the office is your friend. Immediately after, you are thrust into the deep end with work. Processes are all jumbled up and outdated, handovers are a mess, the office culture is toxic and management talk badly about the clients. Ad hoc tasks are assigned sporadically to anyone available (usually new staff) and once you are given a daily task one day, you are expected to continue despite whatever workload you have. PA/EA’s rarely finish work on time due to the sheer workload. clients contact you at unsociable hours so you never really feel like you aren’t working. you are expected to bill 7 hours of work in an 8.5 hour shift inclusive of “team huddles” that can run way over, breaks, 1-2-1’s etc. I never used to cry until I started working there, and when I left due to my mental health, I was totally discarded. In the very short time I was there, 3 staff members had resigned, and 8 more a few months after I had resigned. They have a track record of not paying staff for hours work upon resigning or being fired. When I was applying for a new job, I was even told my the hiring managers that they had an overwhelming amount of applicants from MiPA. It’s genuinely a terrible place to work where the office culture is bizarre, gossipy, and mean girlish. you will definitely be spoken about horribly after resigning. the workload is not very hard, but the sheer amount paired with multiple unreasonable deadlines can cause anyone to have a panic attack - as I did before resigning. Then, you have to watch management recruit on Indeed, offering new starters thousands of pounds higher than your salary… only to then pay them less once they start. Ridiculous on every single front. Terrible business model, and I wish them all the worst. xxx
