Pros

- There were a lot of lovely team members who are very supportive and trustworthy and genuinely cared and supported one another. - Hybrid working options.

Cons

- In my opinion the company lacks genuine leadership from the senior leadership team. I would like to see them provide strategy and vision as well as having a hands-on approach and working with their teams. Unfortunately it feels like some of the senior leaders do not know what is happening in their own team. - I believe there is a lack of internal communication from the senior leadership team. For example, team days frequently consist of mangers and executives presenting to the leadership team on their performance but there is rarely any guidance or structured updates and presentations on what the company plans are going forwards. - In my opinion there is a lack of empathy for team members and what they may be going through at work or personally. I believe that there really needs to be a development in processes for how the team are treated especially in terms of mental health and the current economic crisis. - Towards the end of my tenure, I found the company to be very political which I felt affected many people's roles and progression. - Unfortunately it seems that if you are liked by management you will be rewarded rather than on the basis of competency, skills and results delivered. - Workloads need to be looked at as it is too busy all year round with more and more projects being sent your way.

Toxic Culture

Pros

Some of the team members are lovely to work with. There's a lot of collaboration and camaraderie among the team members. Also, the organization growth has been high in the past couple of year, giving passionate individuals an opportunity to grow professionally.

Cons

There's innumerable cons to working at MSDUK and don't join if you care about you mental health. I can understand the CEO's perspective at times, however, the rest of the senior leadership is absolutely incompetent. They don't know how to manage a team. Their behaviour shows extreme pettiness and toxicity. Also they lack essential people skills. The leadership does not acknowledge good work and kill all the zeal for its employees even if the employee is extremely passionate. Keep in mind that the salary is below average than the industry standards. There's a culture of exploiting the employees by overburdening them with extreme amounts of work. There is a lot of blame shifting and office politics. I have personally seen leadership conspiring against certain employees and made them feel like sh*t. There's so many people who have left in the past one year and majority of the team is just looking for the next opportunity to get out. The management needs to respect its employees or else even the macro factors of supplier diversity that has helped them grow will not be enough for MSDUK's growth. If I have to summarise this with key words- toxic culture, destroyed mental health, bad senior leadership, below average pay, overwork, no people skill. If you do have bread on the plate- Do not join. Apply for more jobs.

A Truly Horrific Company

Pros

Sadly there are no pros

Cons

It is surprising how unashamed senior management team are in how they mistreat their employees, including gaslighting, disrespect, sharing of confidential information, privacy intrusion and more. Not one member of senior management are capable of carrying out work or in leading their teams efficiently. But they are great delegators, to the point where you question what they are doing. They do not admit to their mistakes, which are plenty. The company does not know how to manage their finances.
