Pros

- A lot of admirable talent and hard workers. - Patented PECO technology that has gone through various independent testing to prove product value and impressive results.

Cons

- Company culture is obsolete. HR and execs don't even attempt or pretend to care about the health and well being of their employees. This was shown clearly during the last two lay-offs and firing of the previous CEO, Jaya. The board members treat these instances as 'normal' for business growth and immediately focus their attention back to raising sales instead of doing a pulse check on how these experiences effect their employees short and long term. - Lack of diversity with those sitting in the exec team. 80-95% white male dominated who lack the expertise and diversified points of view to lead the company properly, hence the constant fluctuating sale numbers and sudden lay-offs. - Does not encourage or promote growth amongst new or old employees. The only employees I've seen being promoted were mostly those already in director or leadership positions who keep climbing the ladder further up. No compensation or title benefits for the worker bees creating further distinction and even hostility amongst the junior level to senior folks. - Lack of transparency. - I'm 100% certain the recent positive reviews were done by someone in the company to bury the others.

Something once great that has been run into the ground

Pros

- Driven & smart individual contributors. The most hardworking people I've met. - A product that does make an impact - Good benefits

Cons

oh where to start... - Pushing fake "good" glassdoor reviews from current employees. Anything positive since mid year 2021-beware. Things aren't good - own up and fix it. - Total lack of transparency on the state of the company (big surprise when they laid off nearly 30% of the company in Dec 2021) - Lack of diversity. Lots of white men in leadership positions. - Leadership positions get the raises/promotions, not the individual contributors actually busting their butts - Lack of ownership and lots of finger pointing - Lack of process leading to a lot of disorganization - Short sighted vision: launching in new international regions before being ready & also launching software before it's ready - High turnover & not backfilling positions. Putting more work & responsibilities on people still at the company and not compensating that they are doing multiple jobs.

Poor Leadership & Familial Nepotism

Pros

Great people to work with who can make scrappy situations easy to get through

Cons

Where to start? Things were looking good at the start of 2021 but somewhere along the line it all came crumbling down. For a company with a stellar product that has been verified and validated through extensive independent studies, the leadership team sure knows how to botch up selling the products. 1) A new CEO joins the leadership team mid 2021 but in the last 6 months he has proven that his strategic thinking is short-sighted at best. Given the size of the company, that short-sightedness is felt and creeps into the way projects were handled. From changing project scopes at the spin of a hat and little to no business case for why there is a change to giving the green light to spearhead new initiatives that create extra work for other downstream teams, the CEO Jonathan Harris has shown that he doesn't seem to put much thought into what he does. He affords his growth team a lot of latitude without bringing in other teams into the discussion to understand the affects to them, which is not surprising I guess given his sales pedigree. Honestly, not sure how he was selected to be the CEO by the board because he is far from well-rounded. He did manage to hire his kids though in his short tenure there so there is that. 2) Lack of accountability from the VPs and up. Given how that is a tenant of the Molekule culture, its shocking how many of the VPs or C-suite execs do not own up to their poor and hasty decision making that leave projects in tailspins and the teams scrambling. I imagine it made it really hard for the company, financially speaking, and is probably one of the reasons why they had a 2nd round of massive layoffs in little less than 2 years. Oddly enough, most of those leaders were saved being let go 3) No more diversity. This company used to honor that tenant with the leadership team consisting of a diverse set of individuals. There was a female minority CEO even for most of my time there. It has since turned into a prime example of homogeneity. All in all, its a real shame because the product really has potential and Molekule was a fun place to work because of the people there. I don't think this leadership team has what it takes to positively grow this company.
