I worked at Monash University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay rates are very good compared to other institutions. You get the benefits of uni salary packaging and super, and opportunities for career training. Overall, there's a positive culture and working environment, with good facilities at most campuses, especially Parkville.

    Cons

Career advancement for non-academics is slow. The main Clayton campus is getting better but feels quite isolated. Senior academics in management can be political and bicker constantly. And some long term staff are jaded -think Utopia.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps a younger, fresher look to the marketing campaigns with no more black and white photography or astronauts!
