Pros

The employees that worked there - so many talented and passionate people have worked in this company over time. The outcome could have been very different had these people been trusted to complete the tasks they were employed to do. Very inspiring brand with a wonderful heritage, disappointing to see it go to waste.

Cons

Entirely the upper management, mainly the CEO. The CEO is a complex and emotional person who is incompetent and unfit to do the role. The amount of head scratching moments when she would contradict herself was inconceivable... not to mention the amount of silly decisions and directions that was made based on little to no logic... and if you tried to professionally dispute and offer feasible alternatives then you were just bullied into submission. The mental health implications of working there have been big for a lot of people.

Pros

Lots of career opportunity, some good people

Cons

Owners don't have a handle on what they really want, or what the industry really needs from an outdoor brand or retail store. They pretend the MD gear is premium, but it just doesn't stack up. Great people working for the company, but they are pushed too fast and too much to do much good.

Pros

Flexible working time, great staff discounts, and good range of products with quality. Some co-workers are great to work with.

Cons

Upper management was not open to suggestions, had no trust in others' expertise and tried too hard to dictate everything that is minute but slow to make important decisions that sometimes affect the timeline and performance of campaigns due to procrastinating. New staffs don't receive training. Current staffs can't progress and are seldom listened to. Promises are never delivered, no reasons ever given. New procedures keep coming but only short-lived as they were never given enough thoughts. Owner runs business on the basis of "I only do it if I like it".
