Pros

No pros as such, CEO Shikha Chaudhary does not know how to handle her company. All she knows is to shout on her employees. Plus, the mental trauma she gives sticks to you lifelong.

Cons

Extreme mental pressure, and trust me, this kind of extremeness is not normal. They want you to work for 12 hours, and fool around in offer letter saying it's 9-5 job. Joining NewsBytes will be a big black mark on your resume as they will hang you in middle and will fire you anytime they want.

Pros

During the first week (only and only the first week) of your job, the co-founders will be extremely nice to you. First week is basically a trap.

Cons

1. Comparison among employees 2. Disrespectful and rude behaviour of co-founders 3. No compensation for overtime ( 2-3 hrs every day) 4. No freedom of opinion... You'll have to agree to the opinion of the co-founder.. 5. They neither value you nor your work 6. No freedom of speech 7. The co-founder keeps taunting you and telling you how worthless you are 8. Highly unprofessional

Pros

Content teams were open to experimentation. Some editors were supportive.

Cons

Senior management is essentially the unhinged hothead founders and their boot-lickers, all lacking understandable ambition. After so many years, the company's workings still reek of a stingy family business' ethics. The company also rigged some of the Glassdoor reviews from December 2021. Recent hires were tasked with singing high praises to bring the overall rating up. Co-founders' expectations know no bounds. Every time you approach the target, they move the finish line. The concept of work-life balance does not exist. They reduce you to a content-producing cog. You will struggle to find portfolio-worthy pieces amidst steaming heaps of your own work for NewsBytes when you look back at it. Management doesn't trust employees at all. NewsBytes constantly compares your work to other writers, including those using the Yantra bot to produce several more stories than humanely possible. Comparisons are direct and in-your-face, and Shikha Chaudhry's praise for one on company-wide communication channels is usually criticism in disguise for someone else. There are always layers to what she says. Shikha and Sumedh Chaudhry's words and expectations will take a toll on your health. And when that happens, they will deny you leaves you are entitled to. You won't be able to fall back on the vague clauses in your contract because they won't be honored. When you pack up and leave amidst the drama, don't expect your dues to be paid.
