- The company culture is too strict and old-fashioned. Happy employees are productive employees. - Admin team morale is low. Even when you try to lift people's spirits with humour, it gets knocked down quickly. - There feels like a massive divide between the treatment of the Admin team and the rest of the company. - You are constantly being monitored, which makes you feel like you have a target on your back at all times. - There are too many grey areas in the processes, which leaves you feeling like you always have to defend your decisions to Management. - Taking 'call centre-like' call volumes whilst juggling a highly-focused admin role doesn't work. It just leads to stressed-out employees and increases errors. - There is a lot to learn, and processes keep changing at very short notice. Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of training to support this. - Sometimes you will be dealing with very challenging calls. I often had patients break down in tears, feeling powerless to give them the mental health support required.

Newson Health is a Company that does not extend the same duty of care to its Employees as it does to its Patients. There is no accountability for poor Management decisions which often have a detrimental impact on members of staff. It is not uncommon for Managers to sanction Annual Leave simultaneously for members of staff in the same team and therefore, placing the remaining staff members under phenomenal pressure. Sometimes work had to be undertaken outside of my contracted hours for no extra recompense to simply 'keep on top' of the workload. There is no room for error in an ever-changing landscape when it comes to the Administrators. They get pulled up for the slightest error made, in an environment where it is often difficult to keep abreast of the constant changes taking place on a daily basis. A Company that does not realise that its Employees are its greatest asset and their welfare is therefore of paramount importance, is very short-sighted indeed! The aforementioned issues (together with additional ones), have already been brought to the attention of Human Resources and relevant examples have been duly provided.
