Pros

Work remotely from home if you choose.

Cons

Completely overworked with ZERO regard for work/life balance. Nexeo simply doesn't care. You are responsible for everything. When something goes wrong (whether it's your fault or not), you have to do all of the damage control, investigation, follow up, etc. which wouldn't be so bad except that other Nexeo departments mess up all the time and are not held accountable so the errors can pile up in a hurry. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for CSR's because when you make a mistake, the buyer, seller, manager, or warehouse, etc. will not only let you know but will probably inform your manager as well, just to make you look bad. It can be a very "gotcha" environment but seemingly just for CSR's. Sometimes, Nexeo employees in other departments will even lie and say something was your fault and management will believe them because they've been with the company for 20 years and you're viewed as just a peon. This is typically done behind your back so you may not even know it's occurring. It's amazing how many people are unprofessional, liars, or just straight up jerks in positions of power at Nexeo. Even more amazing is that some of this is even known and tolerated by management. My advice: Don't get on anyone with authority's bad side as perception is reality at Nexeo and if you are perceived as a bad CSR, you will get labeled as one. Also, some Nexeo employees in other departments can routinely ignore your emails, phone calls, etc. that will leave you without answers for angry customers. The poor internal communication has gotten even worse now that nearly everyone works remotely. Overall accountability has severely dropped for everyone except, you guessed it: Customer Service. Everybody knows this is a problem but nobody in Nexeo management cares. You will be on an island all by yourself to solve the many, many problems you'll encounter on a daily basis. You will be overwhelmed more days than you won't and just when you think it can't possibly get any worse, they'll be some kind of interruption to the supply chain (shortages, hurricane, etc.) and materials will go on the dreaded "Force Majeure" and you get to handle that professional train wreck that will last for months on end. Most people within Nexeo don't know what CSR's truly deal with all day, everyday so they do not respect the CSR's. They think the only thing CSR's do is put orders into the computer, which is laughable. Nexeo management will repeatedly tell you that you have the most important job in the company but will still pay you the least of any department and treat you (or at the very least allow others within Nexeo to treat you) the worst. You will routinely be shorthanded while also expected to cover the work of other CSR's in their absence. They will continually push more and more work on you because they are either a.) too cheap to hire more help b.) too incompetent to realize what you do, or c.) simply don't care. If you take this job, prepare to hate your professional life as you know it. You've been warned!

Pros

Hybrid Schedule allows you to work from home a lot.

Cons

CSR's are considered extremely expendable and treated like 2nd class citizens by the other departments. Not much accountability or assistance from management. The motivational speeches and/or memos they give to employees basically just say that you need to work harder. A lot of nonstop responsibilities and headaches go along with this role.

Pros

Great colleagues Remote work Good pay Promise of bonus this year.

Cons

Paul Tayler is no longer CEO. CEO implementing cost saving measures that are killing morale. Many functions moved to India without adequate training for India team. This is causing many issues with customers and suppliers. CEO messaging is often out of touch.
