Do not believe all of these fake reviews posted in Aug 2024 as these were shamefully done with bribery by the CEO. This was all a ploy to offset the negative reviews done previously and I’m sure new rounds of current employee fake reviews will come in after this review again to try to offset more.
Do your research on this company before you are swayed by the attractive opportunity to help patients and “take this company to the moon.” Research how many bodies are buried of great leaders and staff who have come and gone. Research how many leaders have actual healthcare experience and who really is running the ship clinically (Why part-time CMO?). Ask about turnover and average tenure – the CEO will proudly say “this is a transparent company” and “this company is not for everyone” which is code for severe micromanagement, overworked, and only those who don’t rock the boat will not be targeted next. Research complaints/comments on BBB in Florida and Indeed. You’ll start to see repeated themes and much harsher tone than I am using here. Everything will be quickly dismissed by the CEO, HR, or other senior leaders as you can’t believe everything you read on the internet.
This is a sales culture first driven from the top and it is about revenue and numbers first before providing clinical value to patients. How is anything supposed to move forward, or trust built when there are never ending messages of “X person has been offboarded” out of the blue or you can’t find someone in Slack? Each time the CEO will convince others that this company wasn’t the right fit for that person and if you don’t agree, you might be next. There are no boundaries for the CEO, he is everywhere, new self-help book idea for the week, and has no patience to stick with anything long enough to get traction. He has difficulty in working through his leadership team which constantly creates confusion of priorities with staff and any complaints are disregarded as “we’re a start-up, we move fast, and if you can’t handle it, this company isn’t for everyone.” The CEO proudly says these things as a badge of honor and tries to convince everyone this is how successful startups work – how do you know?
Patients and doctor offices call in daily upset about patients about not knowing there are copays or why there are charges when they have never used the service. This is all by design from the top to get more doctor offices and patients signed up fast before they figure out what is really going on and want to leave. The company spends a lot of time reactively trying to retain patients and doctor offices, more than a typical company should, instead of really looking in the mirror and make the needed changes to the (sales) culture and processes stemming from it.
Before you are told that you can’t believe reviews on Glassdoor or other sites I mentioned above, or you could be the one to really make the needed changes to this company, ask yourself are you willing to risk your career and take that chance?
If you have made it this far in my review and you value your career, then you know what you need to do.
