Best work-life balance
great understanding team
good projects to improve skills and work, Multiple tech stacks to explore
Acquisition from Microsoft improved standards greatly
The most important thing I liked about Nuance was the flexibility of the job. Working from home was allowed as needed. They had flexible hours and really created a family/work balance. The culture and the open door policy was really beneficial as well. Developers don't look down on QA as a 2nd class team, there was self respect across both teams.
Cons
Climbing up ladder was difficult. Lack of communication. Hiring process can take months, even to the point where no communication was ever given to interviewer. Heck, sometimes head count would be closed after a verbal offer went out.
