Pros

Literally zero. A pet company should be an enjoyable place but it is horrendous.

Cons

Neptune, NJ, location: Graphics department is a clique and they are straight-up nasty to other departments for no reason. They like creating a contentious workplace for others to protect their own jobs...or just because they enjoy it. Who knows. There's a constantly revolving door because of this. They constantly throw Marketing people under the bus instead of working with them. They simply do not want new talent to succeed. Hire ups in Graphics do next to little actual graphics work - instead they gossip and attempt to get certain people to leave or let go. Directors apparently get vehicles paid for by the company while the rest of the employees go underpaid and underappreciated. Not sure where all the other Glassdoor reviews went. I'm sure they found a way to hide them because the culture or lack thereof is terrible and they have no plans to improve it. Worst place I and several others have ever worked. Rules apply to some but not others. Forced to use up your own personal days when the office is snowed out.

Pros

The people were nice but there were several times I questioned the legality of the company’s business and structuring.

Cons

The corporate structure was seriously flawed. The hierarchy within all departments are autocratic- no one can get any work done because there is a micromanagement problem where you can produce work but only after three levels of management approve you to do so. Nylabone is an unequal place of employment it’s border-lining illegal, temps are treated unfairly and not given the opportunity to grow within their roles. I wouldn’t recommend a temporary position unless you’re willing to sacrifice two years of of career working as a temp while doing the work of a full time employee (some temps didn’t received paid time off). There is a huge revolving door of employees which come and most go, it seems the only employees staying are the directors which have no sense of leadership or direction themselves. Aside from the structural issues within the company, I have witnessed first hand and second hand situations of harassment and discrimination. When I informed HR of what I thought to be harassment from my senior leadership they advised that it be dealt without their involvement. Nothing was ever done about it; I did however receive a forwarded email written by my director from my recruiting agent informing me that they weren’t prepared to hire me full-time. If you are looking to accept a temporary role make sure to negotiate for paid time off as it should already be legally offered to you but it might not be. Also I am aware that one of the five star reviews on here is fake as it is within my role within my timeline of working here, I asked the only other person on my team working this position and it wasn’t written by either of us. It was probably written by a recruiting agent looking to lobby new talent. Great place to work if you are looking to get underpaid and undervalued.
