Higher ups do not care about you. They spoon feed you a fictitious narrative once every 2-3 months, when they decide to talk with you (usually before a $5.00 lunch), that everything is great and they appreciate your work. The company recently moved from Montvale NJ, to Newark NJ. and this increased a vast majority of the employees travel time and expenditures. Montvale had free parking, and now employees are force to spend upwards of $200-$300 per month on parking/public transportation. There has been little to no salary compensation for the move, and the overall feel of the employees is that they are being strangled financially.
This is all in an attempt to bring in "millennials" as they are called, who have zero to negative experience in the refrigerated trailer industry, while pushing those loyal and experienced employees out of the door, with a wide smile in the process.
The HR department is an absolute disaster. They bait their employees into letting their guard down, and then follow it up with an email to the entire company with new rules and regulations, leading to an overall unpleasant work environment.
