The company has a very poor management structure and is a lot of times a fairly hostile environment. Employees are not respected or appreciated in any way shape or form.
you need a job to pay the bills, while diligently searching for something (anything) better.
Dozens, perhaps hundreds of products / services, new ones seemingly generated by the week - company has no idea how to capitalize on them.
Cons
Very low pay, as close to minimum wage as possible. If existing work could be outsourced to middle school kids, management would do it instantly.
No idea how to market, sell - completely haphazard process.
Hiring a UT bachelors in science at $25 / hour.
No organizational structure of any kind.
No strategy, short or long term.
Where is the company headed? Goals? No one has a clue.
I worked at this O&G company for several years. Never saw a nastier, more backstabbing group of people (With just a few exceptions). CEO has a tendency to write emails criticizing a particular staff member, then copy everyone in the company on them. They place absolutely no value on the efforts of employees. They don't think twice about emailing with work late in the evenings or on the weekends, and in most cases the work is meaningless.
