Pros

Nothing, they took over and took away everything that brought in customers

Cons

Lying head office - told us no changes for 6 months after the buy out, had completely changed the stores and removed all animals with 4 months. Hired their mate with no retail experience to be the regional manager kicking out someone fantastic at their job No support Other than the customers and their pets and our team it was a dreadful place

Unethical Company

Pros

Not much, only staff discount

Cons

Everything. Smelly and dirty work place. Need to clean bugs and rats everywhere. No shutting doors. Freezing or boiling working instore. Dusts everywhere, bad for allergy. Lifting heavy goods in all weather conditions without proper heating or cooling systems installed instore. Working outside in the rain, cold or heat. Unrealistic KPIs. Uncaring and unreachable upper management. Undervalued and underpaid. Delayed payments. Altered payments. Retracted payments. Unpaid overtime. Unrealistic work load. Always working overtime. Heavily under staffed and under budget. Expect to work alone all day if staff is on leave.

Pros

None Literally nothing It would be a pro to not work here

Cons

Everything Anything and everything about this company is terrible. One of the worst places I have ever worked at and we are letting them be in charge of pet products. Higher up management is the biggest problem, particularly area manager/s. They don’t care about you or their customers. They sell products out of date. Yeah they might be marked down but when it’s 3-6 months past the “use by” date I wouldn’t be feeding it to my dog or cat or any animal. Not to mention the various items/objects and substances that have been found in their own brand ‘chompy’ treat bag and when brought up to management it was a simple “yeah that happens sometimes as we get them imported” but then also claim to be an Australian company?. No warnings on their chompy brand bully sticks to say “must not be fed to cats” but when asked if their bully sticks were irradiated they couldn’t answer the question. What I’ve mentioned is only a few things that happened regarding their products and the way they handled it. But just think, if they didn’t care that much about what they are selling and promoting, even their own brand, then they definitely don’t care about you as a person. You are just a number to them and nothing more
