Pros
The children I can’t think of any other.
Cons
Office politics, either your personality is liked or you’re gone Long hours Bad leadership - act like they are above you Unreliable job High staff turnover Not meant for beginners even if they take you (no patience, job just needs to get done attitude) Mainly ad hoc duties are your job, the actual role isn’t given time for, was given duties that required me to be in 3 different locations at times, in the same hour and then criticised for bad in-class support - logic much? Stress inducing, running around the school all day The biggest con are the leaders, they ruin any potential in you. Support staff are at the bottom; spread thin and there’s zero acknowledgment of that. What I don’t understand is why they take newcomers if they’re aware of their horrible school situation with such high staff turnover and no time for adjustments. You can have the best at your heart for the role and children but actually none of it matters - get 3 jobs done or you won’t stay There was so much fake niceness, rather than direct advice and criticisms that would help someone adjust Horrible management, even health issues are seen as “moaning around”, I developed a bone-illness whilst working here and was constantly made to feel that I was an inconvenience for not just sucking it up and caring about transparency.
