Pros

Great pay and benefits when the company is doing well. Had fun with the crew, and usually everyone was good to hang around with. It's like a second family especially since you're with them 2 weeks straight, and living with them.

Cons

Everyone is just a number, even some corperate employees. When the company does not have much work they'll cut the per diem, hours, and pay. Then expect you to work on your days off because they found a job and you'll end up driving to Louisiana, south Texas, or west Texas and working for 3-4 days and they'll send you back home. You'll end up spending more in food, gas, and etc in those days then you will make. They'll say there is lots of working coming up to keep you from not quitting and the work is VERY scattered and unlikely to go through due to the oilfields inconsistency in price of oil. Not necessarily Pinnergys fault. They even laid their Corperate Superintendent of 13 years off due to lack of work. It's just the nature of the oilfield.

Pros

The company started out as very employee oriented. Their employees were family. I loved it and enjoyed going to work everyday. We had a "no jerk" policy meaning that no one was allowed to be a "jerk" to any one. We had a lot of communication with our field offices and visited often. I learned and grew so much in my career and as a person. The love for the company was there.

Cons

Things changed... the atmosphere shifted from family to chasing that "almighty dollar" and at any cost. After losing some awesome upper management to retirement, the coldness settled it. The lies and disrespect were and still are unbelievable. The loss of good people who loved and built the company to where it is and ultimately how the were treated in the end is shocking. The favoritism is palpable. It is very high school. The "cool kids" get to come in late, work from home, go on vacations every quarter, etc. It is very different if you are not on the "in" crowd. I loved Pinnergy as my own and worked very hard with our "family" to get it to where it was, but the way I was treated in my last year there was awful and definitely was a hostile workplace for me. Things are still happening come to find out. At this point, I could not recommend working there to anyone.
