Pros

Worked with some excellent therapists who had a desire to remediate the disabilities of their patients and supported Assistants in their endeavors to be the best therapists for their patients.

Cons

Ethics Micromanagement Treatment of Employees The owners both have the worst management styles and speak to employees in a very demeaning manner, as if employees are children. The owner that is an SLP is unethical in the sense that he does not complete full reevaluations on patients, but will gather information for the Assistant and then raise the standard scores and report to insurance without even seeing the patients. He also does not conduct his one hour of direct supervision and one hour of indirect supervision on his SLPAs that he supervises. Both owners use scare tactics to get employees to do what they want them to do. This includes signing a contract for employment that carries a penalty of $8K up to $15K if the employee does not stay with the company for a year. Turnover rate is extremely high. Nepotism Owners do what is best for their pocket books instead of what is best for patients. Owners are very controlling and make promises they do not keep. Owners offer bonuses and referral bonuses to employees and then do not want to follow through with their offers. One of the owners sister is in charge of payroll and the Intake Dept. She recently resigned her position due to the controlling nature of the owners.

So many opinions infiltrated with untruths or statements out of context... I don't know where to begin... It isn't wise to believe everything that you read.

Pros

-ability to schedule visits that’s convenient for you and the patients parents -ceu credits are provided -provided missing clinical hours if missing, to meet the state requirement to get slpa license

Cons

-made to play marketer on top of being a therapist -tracking and turning in mileage report is a pain, wasn’t worth much and wasn’t worth doing 95% of the time -pay rate is not enough to cover gas, maintenance, expenses to buy materials or living expenses -forced to drive on other side of town due to no available therapist in the area (overall driving from one side to the other side of dallas); not practical and was not compensated -therapist were asked to research and present a CEU that was not compensated! -boss is all talk about helping the therapist build their portfolio and resumes for college, but is all lies -overall, this company doesn’t compensate enough or not at all, in regards to what we do

Pros

-Flexibility in scheduling (you could assign patients whenever it was convenient for you as well as the patient's parents) -Provided opportunities for clinical hours needed by the state (includes training) -Provided credits for CEUs -Staff was helpful with issues regarding patients, insurance, etc (in general, were understanding) -Provided timely responses to emails and texts when needed -Good opportunity for those who want to become SLPs in the future (for the sake of experience) -Paid weekly

Cons

-Assigned me to locations without asking first -Drove really far away from my house using my own car (don't forget they don't pay for your gas, you have to do that yourself) -Pay rate was way too low for someone with a bachelor's degree (was minimum wage) -Required iOS device to track visits (I have an Android phone so I was forced to use an iPad; not sure if this is a con but depends on some people) -Tracking mileage was difficult at times (not even fully paid for miles, especially if you want more money on the side beside seeing patients and implementing therapy) -Showed no regards for employees
