Compelling solution, lackluster leadership

Pros

Solution the company is providing is definitely compelling, and companies appreciate the data-driven approach to SaaS application management.

Cons

Unfortunately, leadership roles are filled by choosing candidates with 1) advanced degrees and 2) familiarity with prior employers (rather than relevant experience or training). Lackluster leadership is impacting all aspects of the business: unpredictable ARR, incoherent product design, slowed feature releases, lower employee engagement and poor talent retention.

Terrible management

Pros

Employees have talent and are all hardworking, even if they are overworked and spread thin.

Cons

C-suite team is terrible. They don't address attrition, have no plans to implement DEIB to make anyone feel included, especially if you're a woman. People leave unhappily or get fired and they make up a fake story about them pursuing other opportunities or focusing on their family. They make us take a survey on what we think about the company and how they can improve and nothing ever gets implemented. People get sold false lies and promises in the beginning and then end up doing something entirely different with no say in it. We get pinged regularly outside of business hours and you can tell people work constantly into the night with no work/life balance. You can find low morale on almost all the teams there. There's rarely an opportunity for promotions unless you're the favorite.

Pros

A lot of really awesome people work here. Met some of the most hardworking, intelligent, and wonderful people ever, across all departments. The product seems to be doing really well, and is definitely a standout in industry. Easy to find high impact work.

Cons

- They are trying to enforce a mandatory in office policy post COVID, even though the company is already distributed across 5+ offices, and certain workers are "remote approved". - The overall culture is intense. Senior members are sometimes rude and condescending during meetings. People easily work at least 60-70 hours a week. Getting slacked (sometimes phone called) late at night or early in the morning is common. - Diversity and inclusion is non existent. Leadership team dodges questions around diversity, and a majority of senior leadership (across sales, engineering, product) are all Indian men. - The health insurance choice that is "paid for by company" has a 3000 dollar deductible, no 401k matching, less paternity leave than maternity leave (2 months vs 3 months) - There's no levels or proper performance review, and it's kind of ambiguous how to advance your career.
