Pros

Interesting work, usually pays on time/in full

Cons

Q-Plus Labs is not for everyone. They like to paint a rosy picture in the interviews and in public reviews (mass-reporting any negative reviews while leaving their own reviews to drive up the score), but the reality has thorns. For example, they tell you in the job interview that employee turnover is extremely low and everyone has been there for years, but the truth is that while some people have indeed been there for years, it's also true that employee turnover is well over 50% and nobody's happy. Q-Plus Labs has what many have described as a toxic work environment. Yelling and verbal abuse are commonplace. If you decide to work here, I recommend you document everything because you can't trust other employees or management. Throwing people under the bus and misrepresenting facts to do so is commonplace, and those who do it do not face consequences. Perhaps it's the fear of being yelled at or verbally abused that drives people to act without honor or integrity? Regardless of reason, this is the culture. One of the two most common complaints about Q-Plus Labs is its management, or lack thereof. There are plenty of people with "manager" in their titles (approx. 1 in 3), but the day to day is chaotic and disorganized and things are constantly running late despite the fact that some employees are routinely stuck working 12+ hour days and weekends. There is no work/life balance. The other of the common complaints is that this is a family-owned business, which means family drama and that there is effectively no recourse if you have a problem. This is a small company, so there is pretty much no room for advancement. It's not uncommon to get new responsibilities as other people quit, but do not expect an accompanying increase in pay or title. Pay is as little as they can get away with and raises, no matter how glowing your reviews, are as nonexistent as respect.

Pros

I've never worked with a more qualified and experienced group of Dimensional Metrologists and Quality Engineers. All around professionals that actually know what they are talking about.

Cons

Excellence is certainly not easy but they are very system based which does make it a little easier and more consistent. This is the hardest working bunch I've ever worked with.
