      Pros

      Flexible with time and the pension is very good. Good exposure to large companies, particularly paper industry.

      Cons

      Not very motivating place to work. Managers not honest about goals and objectives. Research projects handed out to a limited of people who are "in". Overall strategy is not clear, cannot decide if they want to be a genuine research institute or a consulting firm. Not inclusive to people who are not Swedish.

      Pros

      excellent technical and professional competence multi-cultural atmosphere swedish in main corporate language, but english speaker survives

      Cons

      Too large to be managed effectively Too diverse technical competence, sectorial management style, the weak link in between different division and units. Barrier to internal collaboration

      Company with potential but has been degrading fast

      Pros

      Great potential for collaboration across disciplines, make impact with applied research. Good if you just want to sit out years I suppose - the culture is not one to take risks or have ambition.

      Cons

      No transparency, big differences across organization in culture, ambition, salary, etc. No support for self development (eg training budget), no support to develop as researcher (eg publication, commissions, time. Decisions and processes determined from financial perspective only, effectively becoming a place with the salaries of a university, the hours and level of competence of a medium consultancy. Might change with new ceo since late 2023 but wouldn’t hold my breath.
