Pros

Not applicable for RT LLP

Cons

1. Fear based hierarchical working culture. The management adopts scare tactics to manipulate the employees’ behaviours. Inevitably, the employees become resentful towards the management, a spike in turnover rates, job dissatisfaction accelerates and employees’ motivation plummet. ” Imagine working in a toxic environment where your employer makes disparaging remarks such as addressing his employees as “idiots“ and “losers”. Utterly obnoxious and gut-churning. His behaviour is downright impertinent and totally uncalled for. In similar fashion, the employer would not let go of any window of opportunity to belittle and depreciate his employee’s self worth. In a nutshell, the employees’ opinion and concerns would be swept under the rug. In the scenario where one chooses to pursue the matter, they would orchestrate an act and brush off their concerns in a perfunctory manner. Thereafter, they would castigate that individual indirectly via a broadcast email as a weapon to silence the person. 2. Bad wifi signal and obsolete IT gadgets Be mentally prepared to sacrifice your personal hotspot during working hours. RT doesn’t have a stable wifi network. During times when their wifi is down, employees have to use their own hotspot to complete their assigned task. Apart from weak connection, their laptops are obsolete. Living in this rapidly evolving world of technology, RT LLP is still installing Windows 7 in their employee’s desktop. While technology sprints forward, RT LLP is struggling to catch up and stay relevant. Resultantly, the employees’ work efficiency and quality are compromised. Poor PC performance is also a prevalent issue faced by many staff. Constant lags and freezes are part and parcel of their daily work life. Employees are left with no choice but to clutch at straws because of the absence of IT personnel in the firm. 3. Deceptive Marketing Don‘t be deceived by the information published on RT website. It’s truly an exaggeration and outrageous claim. Their deliberate and misleading representation of facts such as the existence of an RT ASEAN Network has enticed a handful of naive employees (including myself) to work in this firm. In tangibility, there’s less than 15 employees‘ headcount in the entire firm. Unquestionably, mind-boggling and alarming. Besides, the marketing executive would constantly come up with “innovative“ ideas in a failed attempt to boost the company’s tarnished reputation by necessitate their employees to pose in front of the camera with their fake megawatt smile grinning from ear to ear.😀My advice to you is to please pull a plug on your god damn hogwash. Stop using the miserable staff as props to ramp up your propaganda. To the netizens who stumbled across this review and is considering to work in RT LLP: Think twice before joining this firm. Do not be waver by their offer and sweet talk. It may be your BIGGEST career mistake. Mark my words. Hugs and Kisses, A disgruntled former employee.

Pros

- Located in the heart of the city - Hygienic individual toilet with great ambiance

Cons

- Poor management with favoritism - Management’s action doesn’t align with the company’s motto and vision - Being a quintessential Singaporean, I don’t appreciate a Chinese-speaking environment, however the vast majority of the employees are Malaysians (Probably 95%). As a result, it literally feels like a “little Malaysia”. For instance, the official meetings or team meetings are held in Mandarin. Just a disclaimer, not trying to be racist. It’s just that I would very much appreciate a company that is more diverse, which was ironically stated on the official website of the company. - A toxic working place with many ostracizing one another and trying to butter up the management to get promotions. Yes, it means there would be a lot of backstabbing and exhausting play among employees. - Gaslighting and imposing fear on employees by making demoralizing remarks, and potentially coercing the employee whenever necessary. Remarks made over the course of my appointment would be things like ”idiot”, ”stupidity”, ”jokers”. You name it you have it. Truly repugnant and heinous. Consequentially, employees loathed the management and attributing to its high employee turnover. - Terrible wifi connection and superannuated IT gadgets. Based on my first-handed experience, I was given a battered laptop with preinstalled window 7. Well, I can’t complain if it’s working functionally. Sadly, it isn’t, in fact not at all. On a daily basis, the laptop would display a black screen of death and end all the tabs I have been working on unexpectedly. Just in case anyone is wondering if we could get a replacement, the answer would be no. Hypothetically speaking, if there is a “new” replacement, the replacement is often passed down from fellow colleagues. In other words, it's most likely faulty. In respect to the terrible wifi connection, the solution would be to use our own personal hotspot, and yes, no reimbursement for that. - Mendacious propaganda with hyperbolical claims are as follows (inserted my two cents’ worth): 1. Asserted to have an RT ASEAN network with a worldwide presence, which is nowhere to be found in a prison-like setting office. 2. Provide a window of opportunity, if leftovers from prestigious or big four counts, then probably. 3. Fun and happy moments posted on social media are often mandated by the management. When in actuality, it's pure absurdity and falsification. 4. Headcount stated on different websites ranges from 60 to 100 over. As a matter of fact, there are fewer than 15 employees. Advice to the ingenuous people out there - Take a long hard look at all the reviews and feedbacks given by all these seniors who had left for the good. If you are considering this firm due to the first two pros, I'm afraid that I'm gonna disappoint you by telling you the naked truth. This firm is moving to an isolated shophouse in the near future.

Pros

1) Free flow MILO and Coffee, with sugar and cream available 2) Friendly colleagues that are willing to help although different teams 3) CBD Location with easy access of transport

Cons

1) Toxic culture and superiors 2) Everything is about cost and turnover 3) Bond of 1 year for newcomers which will be a long and torturing period because at the end of the day, you are merely a robot and learn nothing at all. 4) Partner is irresponsible and claims that license will not be revoked although (a) he does not review working papers (b) does not admit to his mistakes and justify errors found as long as its minor error 5) Partner likes to make fun of female colleagues with his disgusting behaviour (e.g: Asking a female colleague if she wants to go review working papers at France, cause he can teach her how to French Kiss, There is no place in the room, you can sit on my lap) 6) Example of audits are always with his examples of non-audit related stuffs which make no sense at all 7) Please do not be cheated by the title RT Asean, there are not networks at all besides the sole company is Singapore. This is merely just a marketing strategy. 8) The audit partner who claims that he has many years of experience in audit of listed companies in China is extremely toxic and sarcastic. He does not respect his team members at all and instead offends his team staffs with his poor attitude and sarcastic remarks. Despite there is no manager in his team, he never reviews the audit working papers for all the engagements, what he do all the time is only reviewing the financial statements and ask his staffs whether the work is done. He never appreciate the effort committed by his team members, he will only emphasize that he always stay late in office but he will never mention that he is always late to the office daily and always his lunch hours are up to 2 to 3 hours. 9) Empty promises are given by the firm (Given a promise of having chances to do overseas engagement and listed companies but it is all just sugar coating)
